Conor McGregor confirms December comeback as he and Sean O’Malley continue their online feud

One of the weirder feuds to have surfaced this year is between the UFC’s biggest stars, Conor McGregor and Sean O’Malley, with the two continuing to go back and forth with each other online.

Despite preparing for his upcoming title fight against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 on September 14, Sean O’Malley continues to chirp at former two-weight world champion, Conor McGregor.

O’Malley used to be extremely fond of ‘The Notorious’ Irishman, but ever since the 35-year-old dragged O’Malley’s name up whilst ranting about PEDs, it hasn’t sat well with the bantamweight champion.

‘Suga’ recently attempted to clear his name with some new scientific findings that claimed Ostarine can be transferred through sweat, but McGregor laughed off O’Malley’s attempt which caused a stir.

Conor McGregor slams Sean O’Malley after ‘Suga’ criticized his training video

Responding to McGregor’s reaction, O’Malley lashed out at the star by claiming he would beat him in a fight, despite them being in different weight classes.

McGregor’s comeback fight against Michael Chandler which was scheduled for UFC 303 this past June, was to be contested at 170lbs, three weight classes above O’Malley.

Although the Irishman’s comeback fight hasn’t been officially re-booked, it is rumored to take place in December, and ‘Iron’ Mike has hinted at that himself.

With that, McGregor has seemingly once again ramped up training with his broken toe now healed, and he has shared some new training footage on his social media.

‘Suga’ wasn’t too impressed with the footage ‘The Notorious’ shared, and commented: “Slow and sloppy.”

Biting back at O’Malley’s attempt to get under his skin, McGregor simply told the bantamweight champion to ‘cheer up’.

“Throw the same shot and let’s see your version, lad. That would unalive a motherf***** for real, that shot. It’s nice work, cheer up. It’s not a bop, bop. It’s a BOP! BOP! Ye get me? 18oz gloves,” McGregor responded.

Conor McGregor confirms December comeback

With Chandler having already hinted that he and McGregor will finally fight in December, McGregor himself has also backed up these rumors, confirming that he will return at the end of the year.

Earlier this week, UFC CEO Dana White provided a short update on ‘The Notorious’, claiming that he doesn’t know when he will return, and McGregor will let him know when he is ready.

The 35-year-old, seemingly ready, replied to a fan who asked if he would return in December, simply saying: “Yes.”

The promotion’s end-of-year schedule is set to be a busy one, as the consensus greatest mixed martial artist of all time, Jon Jones, is also rumored to be making his return to the Octagon in November, making it a huge end-of-the-year for the UFC.
