Sean O’Malley’s feud with Conor McGregor seems to have gotten serious, and now the UFC bantamweight champion seems to be angling towards a fight against ‘The Notorious’ Irishman.
Sean O’Malley has always been publically fond of Conor McGregor, crediting the Irishman for everything he has done in the sport, and his help in growing the sport.
Despite that, after the former two-weight champion continued to fire stray shots at ‘Suga’ when ranting about drug testing in the sport, O’Malley seemed to change his opinion of the 36-year-old.

Sean O’Malley slams ‘jealous b****’ Conor McGregor and claims he’d beat him
The reason for O’Malley’s most recent outburst at McGregor is because the 29-year-old champion recently attempted to clear his name stating that his failed drug test in 2019 was due to sweat transfer.
McGregor laughed at O’Malley’s claim which has only infuriated ‘Suga’ further.
“Conor does his little bump (sniffs) and puts a laughing face… That one drove me a little crazy, I’m like really motherf*****, this is science,” O’Malley said on the recent episode of the Timbo and Sugar Show.
O’Malley’s head coach, Tim Welch, questioned why McGregor doesn’t like O’Malley considering the support O’Malley has always shown the Irishman.
“He’s a jealous b****, that’s what it is, he’s on drugs. I will chirp Conor because I do believe I can beat Conor in a fight, I’m not just saying that, I think stylistically I could beat Conor in a fight, not an easy fight, but I wouldn’t call out somebody if I didn’t think I could beat them in a fight… He’s thick but he’s short” O’Malley claimed.
Although ‘Suga’ has claimed that he would beat the 36-year-old in a fight, it is extremely unlikely that something so bizarre ever happen, despite it being a guaranteed huge fight.

O’Malley will need to get through Merab Dvalishvili first
If the bantamweight champion is serious about trying to make a fight against Conor McGregor, he will need to successfully defend his title against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306, first.
The bout was finally announced by the promotion last week, and it will headline what is set to be a historic event at the Sphere. Following the announcement, the UFC flew both O’Malley and Merab out to Vegas to face off.
“Me and Merabby had like seven or eight face-offs… They just wanted videos without us talking but we were just chirping the whole time. He told me to tell you (Welch) to shut the f*** up or something and he’s going to slap you… He’s a nice little guy.
“It feels good, it feels right (to be headline), I think the UFC made the right decision. I’m going to put on a masterful performance,” O’Malley continued.
