Paddy Pimblett had just signed a lucrative new UFC contract and landed a spot in the lightweight rankings when Dana White sat down for this morning’s post-fight press conference.
The Liverpool native submitted King Green in a featured main card bout at UFC 304 that sent the packed Co-Op Arena crowd wild in the early hours of Sunday morning. He left the veteran unconscious within the first round, in a result that will surely see him ranked in the top 15 come next week.
However, things got even better for the Scouse fighter when promotional boss White announced that he had picked up not one but two performance bonuses for his win. Other winners included interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall and early prelim winner Mick Parkin.

Paddy Pimblett pockets a further $200,000 after winning UFC 304 fight
Paddy Pimblett landed a sixth straight UFC win as he made his biggest step up to date against the former Bobby Green in Manchester. The Brit looked solid on the feet in the early exchanges, using his considerable size advantage on the night to his advantage.
Green looked to be much smaller than the stats would suggest as they stood across from one another, and was likely surprised by how impressive his rival’s striking had become. And in a shocking move, the American decided to shoot for a takedown, leading to a guillotine from Pimblett.
From there, the Brit managed to get into position for a triangle choke, which he used to sleep his opponent while also transitioning into an armbar. The result reignited a crowd that was waining given the wild local time that saw main card fights begin as late as 5am.
After the fact, Pimblett was awarded two bonuses for his performance, which on top of his new contract meant that it was likely a very lucrative morning for ‘The Baddy’. UFC Europe shared a video after the fight showing him celebrating, and declaring that his twin babies would be getting “$100k each”.
Dana White heaps Paddy Pimblett over UFC 304 performance
Following the event, Dana White was critical of a number of the night’s fighters, noting a string of decisions in a row. Those results were mitigated by Pimblett and Aspinall landing massive stoppage wins late in the night before a five-round decision in the main event.

“Paddy is one of those guys that everybody talks s*** about and everybody wants to call him out,” White told the press after the show. “He keeps winning and he looked damn good tonight, that’s why he got the $200,000.
“I mean, I don’t think Bobby Green has been submitted since like 2009. So congrats to him, that’s a guy that came out tonight and looked like he wanted an extra $100,000.”
