With UFC women’s bantamweight title contender Kayla Harrison gearing up for her return to the Octagon, the Olympic gold medalist has revealed how much she currently weighs.
Since her signing with the UFC earlier this year, Kayla Harrison has become one of the most popular female fighters in the sport and is seemingly on the edge of a 135lb title shot.
Before that though, she will need to fight once more under the UFC banner, as rumors continue to circulate that bantamweight champion, Raquel Pennington, will defend her title against Julianna Pena next.

Kayla Harrison reveals she currently weighs 170lbs with a fight announcement looming
Instead of waiting for the culmination of the alleged title fight, the 34-year-old has admitted she will likely have an announcement soon of her next fight.
“Hopefully I’ll have an announcement soon. Yeah (we’re getting close). It’s not locked in I don’t think, but it’s locked in, you know what I mean? The bantamweight’s are in a world of f****** hurt” Harrison told on The MMA Hour.
Unfortunately though for the Judoka who has spent the majority of her MMA career competing at 155lbs, that will come with another brutal weight cut.
Ahead of her UFC debut, Harrison agreed to fight her UFC tenure at 135lbs, after the women’s featherweight division was disbanded with Amanda Nunes’ retirement.
Initially, there was immense skepticism in the MMA world that Harrison would be able to hit the 136lb mark on the scale, even expert nutritionist Tom Coughlin spoke of the risks, but she did so and went on to dominantly win her debut against Holly Holm.
Despite having made the weight successfully this past April at UFC 300, Harrison has admitted that she is dreading the weight cut again, revealing her current weight.
“I don’t hover (around 135lbs) very well after my fight, I told myself ‘Don’t get out of control’ and then I had surgery and then I got an infection and then it was my birthday and so things got a little out of control but I’m back on the plan.
“After my surgery and the infection, I didn’t even want to weigh myself because I could just feel how swollen I was but I got back up to my judo weight which was 170lbs.
“Yes (I am dreading it). It is really hard,” Harrison stated.
Harrison continues to defend herself against Julianna Pena’s claims
Last week, Pena urged the 34-year-old to ‘stay off the needle bro’ as she threw an aimless accusation Harrison’s way.
Harrison has continued to defend herself against ‘The Venezuelan Vixens’ accusations saying: “I just think it’s hilarious, haters gonna hate, dude. It p***** me off because like never once have I tested positive for anything, ever in the history of my very long drug testing career and two, don’t f****** say things like that if you don’t have hard evidence.”
Harrison has been tested eight times so far this year, as per the UFC’s anti-doping database, with only Conor McGregor being tested more.
