Ahead of his UFC 304 fight this coming Saturday against King Green, Paddy Pimblett made a special request to the UFC, and his wish seems to have been granted.
Since his UFC debut back in 2021, Paddy Pimblett has divided the UFC fanbase due to his outspoken personality and exciting fight style.
After edging a controversial split decision against Jared Gordon at UFC 282, Paddy ‘The Baddy’ seemed to lose the backing of a large part of the fanbase because of how he reacted.

Paddy Pimblett’s request for custom shorts is granted
Despite that, the Liverpudlian regained a small portion of the fan’s back when he defeated Tony Ferguson this past December at UFC 296.
Following that, the 29-year-old earned himself a fight with a ranked lightweight opponent, and Bobby ‘King’ Green was the one fortunate enough to be offered it.
Ahead of the biggest fight of his career thus far, Pimblett wanted to go back to his roots. During his incredible time with Cage Warriors, ‘The Baddy’ became well-known for his bright orange shorts.
In a post on his Instagram, Pimblett sent a message to Venum, the official fight kit sponsor of the UFC, asking for them to grant him a custom pair of orange Venum shorts.
Fortunately, the 29-year-old, Venum, and the UFC agreed to allow him his orange shorts.
Leon Edwards to wear custom shorts for his UFC 304 title defense
Pimblett isn’t the only one who will be donning custom gear for his UFC 304 fight, as fans have discovered that welterweight champion, Leon Edwards, will also be wearing custom shorts.
The welterweight champion makes the third defense of his title in the main event, taking on Belal Muhammad.
‘Rocky’s’ shorts depict the Great British flag intertwined with the Jamaican flag along with crowns to signify his reign as champion.
The promotion has only let their biggest stars wear custom shorts prior to this, with Alex Pereira, Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway, and Justin Gaethje being granted the prestige.
It is unclear whether interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall, will wear custom shorts for his title defense against Curtis Blaydes in the co-main event.
