Jake Paul brutalises and KOs Mike Perry before confirming Mike Tyson super-fight for new November date

Jake Paul completely dominated bare knuckle boxing star Mike Perry on Saturday night on route to a fifth round stoppage.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer had been due to fight legendary heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in an historic Netflix fight. But when the boxing icon was forced out due to a medical issue, he hastily arranged a fight with BKFC star Perry instead.

After two quickfire knockdowns, the ‘King of Violence’ ended up impressing in the middle rounds before being viciously put down and stopped in the fifth. The bout closed out an event that also featured women’s boxing icon Amanda Serrano and ex-UFC star Uriah Hall.

Jake Paul drops Mike Perry three times on route to dominant return win

Jake Paul was a considerable favourite heading into his meeting with Mike Perry, and immediately showed why as he dropped the bare knuckle boxer within seconds of the first. A big shot as his rival was coming in saw him floor Perry, before continuing to dominate the first.

And it was a similar story in the second as he landed a huge knockdown that had fans out of their seats, although Perry continued through the round as he walked his rival down. And by the third, Paul appeared to be gasping for air as the former UFC star began to come into the fight.

Paul had been in the process of gaining a sizeable amount of weight in order to fight Tyson on the date, and needed the towel in order to make cruiserweight for this bout with Perry. That inevitably resulted in his slowing down as the rounds wore on against a game opponent.

But by the fifth he was back on form and wobbled Perry early. Eventually halfway through the round he landed a thudding third knockdown, and when the BKFC star answered the count he was deemed unable to continue, resulting in a third consecutive knockout for the social media sensation.

Immediately after the bell, promotion began for the November 15 super-fight between Paul and boxing legend Tyson. He took to the microphone to tell his rival to ‘sign the contract’, although with tickets still on sale for the AT&T Stadium bout it is believed that deal is already done.

Tyson had been due to face Paul on this date, but during a flight from Los Angeles to Miami in May suffered an ulcer flare up and had to be dealt with by medical professionals. Despite claiming to feel fine, he was recommended to tone down his training, and will return to the gym later this month.

“Mike Tyson… you’re next big boy, sign the contract, November 15 on Netfix,” Paul said into the camera after the fight. “I’m excited for that one, I’m going to go home and prepare for that one. It’s happening, November 15, Mike Tyson is training, he’s back, looking crazier than ever.

“I’m going to get another KO and prove everyone wrong once again. Everyone said I was an idiot for taking this fight, that I was risking it but this is why I’m here, I take big risks. Mike, I love you but this is my sport.

“You’re a legend, you’re one of the two most famous boxers ever to live, you and Muhammad Ali. It’s an honour to get in the ring with you. I’m so, so honoured; you’re a legend, but I’m going to take your throne, brother.”
