Mike Perry has emerged as one of the breakout stars in combat sport in recent years, carrying the majority of promotion for bare knuckle boxing.

There is no true way for us to gauge any fighter’s net worth, but a report from Sportskeeda claims Perry’s to be around $1million. His last fight purse for facing Thiago Alves was revealed by the California State Athletic Commission to be around $600,000.
If sponsorships and PPV bonuses brought that number up, he could have earned almost seven figures for the bout, which headlined BKFC’s fourth KnuckleMania event.

Mike Perry is almost as well-known for his nickname ‘Platinum’ as he is for his ferocious fighting style and aggressive nature. Speaking on The MMA Hour in 2016, he explained the nickname in great detail, much to the amusement of viewers and host Ariel Helwani.
“A few reasons,” he replied when asked why he was called ‘Platinum’. “I’m trying to be like ‘Iron Mike’ [Tyson] but with twice the skills. I conduct a lot of energy and I can absorb a lot of energy and they use platinum like they use gold in some electronic ways.
“If we wanted to set up a satellite to talk to God we’d probably make it out of platinum so it could reach across the universe and the energy would stretch far beyond anything we’ve ever known. It’s a precious object that’s wanted, hard to obtain. There’s many reasons [for the nickname].”
Latory Gonzalez Mike Perry
Mike Perry met his girlfriend Latory Gonzalez in 2020 after his previous marriage. By the middle of that year he had ditched his entire corner team in favour of just having her with him for his fight with Mickey Gall during covid.
Perry beat Gall and was paid $180,000 ($90,000 to show, $90,000 for a win), which he claims helped him get out of debt. Since then, he has employed a legitimate corner but still involves her in his camps. The pair have a son together.

Mike Perry is known for his violent fight style, and none were more violent than his 2019 bout with Vicente Luque. He lost a narrow split decision that night, but received permanent damage that affected him considerably more as he suffered a gruesome broken nose.
His fighting style has meant that the injury has never been able to fully heal, and he will often poke at his nose during promotional appearances, noting its complete lack of cartilage.
