‘That almost makes me want to come out of retirement’… UFC legend infuriated by Jake Paul’s pre-fight comments

Ahead of his anticipated boxing fight against former UFC fighter, Mike Perry, this coming Saturday, Jake Paul has once again chirped at MMA fighters and their boxing abilities, which hasn’t sat well with Michael Bisping.

Jake Paul handpicked former UFC fighter and current BKFC star Mike Perry as his next opponent after Mike Tyson withdrew from their controversially scheduled fight as he continues to try and make a name for himself in the boxing world.

Although Perry is widely considered as Paul’s toughest MMA fighter opponent yet, ‘The Problem Child’ still holds a big size advantage over ‘Platinum’.

Paul’s last boxing fight came against Ryan Bourland, an extremely unknown professional boxer with a record of 17-3. The 32-year-old Perry on the other hand has only competed in boxing once, losing to Kenneth McNeil in 2015.

Michael Bisping infuriated by Jake Paul’s pre-fight comments

The Internet sensation turned boxer notoriously tries to get in the head of his opponents during the lead-up to his fights, but this time, his pre-fight comments have irked his former rival, instead.

Former UFC middleweight champion and now UFC commentator, Michael Bisping, has made his thoughts on ‘The Problem Child’ known over the years, and there was a point when a fight between the two seemed likely due to their ongoing feud online.

Prioritizing his health and considering he only has one working eye, Bisping opted against coming out of retirement to try and become the first MMA fighter to floor the outspoken Paul.

Despite that, Paul’s pre-fight comments this time round have pushed ‘The Count’ into wanting to come out of retirement to fight him.

“MMA fighters are all pu**ies,” Paul claimed at the pre-fight press conference. “Every single MMA fighter is a f****** pu** and they can’t box for s***,” the 27-year-old continued.

“Jesus Christ, you know what I mean, ‘All MMA fighters are pu**ies and we can’t box for s***’, I mean that’s really annoyed me,” Bisping responded in a video on his YouTube.

“That almost makes me want to come out of retirement and smash this guy’s f****** face in. I hope Mike Perry does it. There are so many great boxers from the world of Mixed Martial Arts that would whoop this guy’s ass,” the former UFC champ continued.

The UFC commentator went on to state that Paul cherry-picks his opponents, labeling him as ‘fake Paul’.

Michael Bisping labels Jake Paul an ‘imposter’

Bisping, whose career was built on overcoming adversity on his way to undisputed UFC gold, is hoping that ‘Platinum’ Perry can overcome what will likely be some early pressure to go on to win the fight.

“I’ve never wanted someone to win a fight as much in my life, for the love of God, Jake Paul, please, I hope you get knocked out on Saturday night.

“Mike Perry is the smaller guy, but he’s more ferocious, he’s more aggressive and he’s got a good chance of winning this… Jake Paul is fake, Jake Paul’s an imposter, Jake Paul is a pretty boy who wants to seem like a badass,” Bisping stated.

This Friday, the two took part in the official weigh-ins, and on his initial attempt, Paul missed weight by 0.4lbs. Less than 30 minutes later, the 27-year-old came in at 200lbs.

‘Platinum’ Perry on the other hand weighed in at 196.6lbs, making the highly anticipated fight official.
