‘They want him back’… Mike Perry could return to the UFC, as his manager reveals the promotion has opened the door for major comeback

With Mike Perry cementing his place among the biggest names in combat sports, according to his manager, the UFC would love to welcome him back to the octagon.

However, in order to give the world a massive return, the brawler first has to produce something special on Saturday night.

Mike Perry could secure a new UFC deal with a huge win over Jake Paul

In a match-up the public is looking forward to, Mike Perry will collide with Jake Paul at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, USA.

Blessed with captivating personalities, the pair of titans have gelled to give fight fans an incredible build-up.

In one corner stands a polarizing YouTuber, capable of winding up his opponents and indeed the MMA community to a ridiculous extent, and in other, we have a wild man, with an unrivaled will to win and the skill set to end Paul’s reign of terror once and for all.

The pair of contrasting individuals have delivered the perfect ingredients for an epic rivalry. From a testosterone-fuelled clash at the face-to-face, in which both men aimed to talk in the most masculine voice possible, to Perry dropping Paul’s mascot and wearing a chain depicting the 27-year-old’s beaten face after taking a ‘Platinum’ punch, the MMA veteran has undoubtedly made his presence felt.

Sheesh: Logan Paul slams fans claiming Mike Perry will beat Jake Paul on Saturday

The bout marks the 32-year-old’s first venture into the boxing ring since his debut loss in 2015. However, in the years since, he’s worked on his hands, picking up enthralling victories in BKFC against the likes of Luke Rockhold and Michael ‘Venom’ Page.

Thus, with Perry clearly capable in the striking department, he’ll have the confidence to believe he’s capable of knocking out his nemesis in devastating fashion. And if he does so, as per his manager, he could get a massive opportunity to return to the UFC.

During an episode of Overdogs Podcast, Malki Kawa said: “If Mike Perry knocks Jake Paul out, the door to the UFC has been reopened.

“I already got that call that said ‘we want him back’, the whole nine yards, and this and that. I get that phone call, and I’m entertaining it in my head. I don’t even know if I’ve even told him yet, because as of right now, I don’t know if that makes sense. I don’t know if it doesn’t make sense. I look at the landscape of what it is for him long-term…”

Regardless of whatever he has hit heart set on next, the natural-born fighter must first get through the mind games his adversary is bringing to the table ahead of Saturday evening.

Jake Paul believes he’s destroyed Mike Perry in their war of words

Throughout his boxing career, the Cleveland native has gone above and beyond to get under the skin of anyone who signs to face him in the ring.

Consequently, his treatment of Perry has been no different. As is tradition ahead of his big fights, Paul calls his opponent and pretends to be a professional journalist, conducting a serious interview, until in a flash, he turns into his jovial self and drops a rather inappropriate question.

On this occasion, he asked Perry: “What are you going to do when Jake Paul knocks you the f*** out and shoves his c*** down your throat?”

Clearly annoyed at the comment, the bare-knuckle star shouted expletives down the phone, which resulted in Paul coming to the conclusion that he’s got in his rival’s head.
