In a fascinating interview, Paddy Pimblett went toe-to-toe with The MMA Guru, as the pair discussed the Jared Gordon fight and the YouTuber’s treatment of Molly McCann.

Paddy Pimblett and The MMA Guru talk all about the Jared Gordon fight in a fiery interview
On July 27, Paddy Pimblett will return to action against King (formerly Bobby) Green at UFC 304, inside the 23,500-seater Co-op Live in Manchester, UK.
But before the Brit gets his opportunity to enter the top 15 rankings, with a statement performance, he first joined polarizing combat sports personality The MMA Guru for a captivating interview.
The charismatic and ever-entertaining YouTuber has made an enormous impression online, garnering a reputation for his unfiltered views and willingness to slate fighters when he deems it necessary.
While his approach rubs some fans up the wrong way, many enjoy listening to his impassioned takes on all things MMA.
WOW: Mike Perry could return to the UFC, as his manager hints at major comeback
In the past, he’s seen no problem in slamming Pimblett for his performance against Jared Gordon, or Molly McCann for her defeat against Julija Stoliarenko.
Regardless, despite the potential for tension, The MMA Guru welcomed ‘The Baddy’ onto his show, and, for the bulk of the interview, the pair got on like a house on fire. Although, the content creator confessed that he was nervous beforehand.
He conceded: “I was worried about doing the interview because we’re so close [to UFC 304]. I thought you’d be a bit snappy. I’ve said a lot of s**t about you, Paddy. I’ll be real, I was worried about how this was going to turn out.”
However, despite their natural chemistry, the Liverpudlian remembered exactly what the content creator had said about his friend, and saw no issue with bringing it up.
The fighter asserted: “I do need to say about Molly though, f**k me, you’ve s**t on Molly a few times, lad.” The MMA Guru replied: “What have I said about Molly?”
Pimblett fired back: “I think it was after the Stoliarenko fight; you went in on her for two minutes on a video. I was thinking, ‘f**king hell, this is heavy this’. It wasn’t her best performance, obviously, she got submitted in two minutes, she knows that herself. But then, when she sees all the s**t online, her head falls off.”
After listening carefully, The MMA Guru mustered the response: “I’m just trying to make money, you know?”
Luckily, Pimblett found the comment hilarious. The 29-year-old went on to reveal that he’d discussed doing the interview with McCann prior to it taking place, before putting it on the host about his stance on the Gordon bout.
He claimed: “When I said to Molly, ‘MMA Guru’s in the DMs’, Molly looked at me like (Shocked expression). I said, ‘Don’t worry, I’m going to mention it to him’, but I understand it. You s**t on me after the Jared Gordon fight, like a lot of people did.”
Interrupting the athlete, the social media star, exclaimed: “It was a sh***y performance mate, it was.” Pimblett conceded: “It wasn’t a good performance.”
Remarkably, The MMA Guru then blurted out: “It was a disgrace.”
He quickly revealed he was only joking, saying: “It wasn’t a disgrace, too far. But it wasn’t the best performance, lad. I had to be real.”
To his delight, once again, Pimblett found his comments amusing and the pair continued with the interview – if you have the time, it’s a fascinating 40-minute-long interview that’s well worth a watch.
Paddy Pimblett is ready to expose King Green at UFC 304
While his chat with The MMA Guru was fun, Pimblett has a far bigger event in his life to look forward to.
In less than two weeks, he’ll set foot in the cage with a man who presents the biggest challenge of his entire career.
With blistering hands and years of top-level experience, Green has the potential to score a huge victory in front of the Scouser’s home fans.
To negate that risk, alongside his team at Next Generation MMA, Pimblett has worked tirelessly to craft the perfect game plan.
In a recent interview, he opened up about a major weakness he intends to exploit when he faces off with the MMA veteran at UFC 304.
