Ahead of their highly anticipated boxing bout this coming Saturday, Mike Perry and Jake Paul took part in open workouts this past Wednesday, and in typical influencer boxer fashion, things got slightly out of control.
The Internet sensation turned boxer, Jake Paul was originally scheduled to take on one of the most dangerous boxers of all time, Mike Tyson, but Tyson withdrew from the event after an ulcer flare-up meant he couldn’t train.
Instead of waiting for ‘Iron’ to be ready to fight, ‘The Problem Child’ picked Mike Perry to step in and fight him on July 20.

Chaos ensues at open workouts as Mike Perry attacks mascot
‘Platinum’ Perry who is most well-known for his entertaining run in the UFC has most recently become the face of Bare-Knuckle Boxing, which is now part owned by Conor McGregor.
With that, his popularity has risen tenfold and he has now been granted the opportunity to be the first former MMA fighter to beat Paul in the boxing ring.
Tensions between the two have grown over the past week as they have sat down opposite each other in a face-to-face interview, with Perry claiming he is going to ‘dig through your eyeballs and find your memories’.
Recently, Paul created a new business called ‘W’, which specializes in skin-care products for men.
During Perry’s open workout where he showed off his boxing skills while striking the pads with his trainer, a mascot of Paul’s ‘W’ entered the ring to try and steal the limelight.
Not taking well to this, the 32-year-old ran over and started punching the mascot. Although it didn’t seem as though Perry was striking him with much ferocity, security began to swarm the ring and pull the former UFC fighter off the man in the costume.
“It’s my time, bro! It’s my time!” Perry continued shouting.
Perry sends a cold warning to Jake Paul ahead of their clash
Outside of his lone boxing loss against Tommy Fury, it is widely regarded that Perry will be the 27-year-old’s toughest test to date, because of his impenetrable fighting style.
Following the incident with Paul’s mascot, ‘Platinum’ sent ‘The Problem Child’ a stark warning.
“I’m taking all the W’s all week long, you can’t get up in my face and talk that s*** like these boys on social media, this is real life, when I’m really in your face I treat you like that,” Perry began.
During his open workout and following interviews, the brawler was seen wearing a diamond chain, depicting Paul with a beaten and bloody face.
“Every great fighter has to get some ass-whooping’s before they can be greater, if he’s been stuck in one place it’s because he needs someone to teach him a lesson and that’s what I’m here for,” the former UFC star finished.
