Former UFC two-weight world champion and now part-owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, Conor McGregor, took part in the BKFC Spain press conference this Thursday and made a big revelation.
Earlier this year, the biggest star in combat sports history, Conor McGregor, announced he has become part-owner of surging combat sports promotion, BKFC.
The Irishman was scheduled to make his UFC return on June 29 at UFC 303, but he withdrew from his anticipated fight against Michael Chandler due to a broken toe.

Conor McGregor makes huge revelation at BKFC Spain press conference
Although the former two-weight world champion is expected to make his UFC return before the end of the year, the official date for his likely fight against Chandler is still yet to be confirmed by the promotion.
Last week BKFC announced they would hold an event in Marbella, Spain, on October 12, and the event will be headlined by lightweights Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto as they scrap for the vacant lightweight title.
This Thursday, the promotion held a press conference from the Hard Rock Hotel in Marbella, Spain, to promote their upcoming event, and part-owner, McGregor had a lot to say.
Not only did the 36-year-old talk about his role within the company, but he also shed some light on his current UFC deal and his future plans.
“This is the real deal, no one in this combat sports space can speak one word of bad mouth about Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, and that for me, is money in the bank,” McGregor started at the press conference.
“I have a bit of business left with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), two fights left on my contract, but for sure we’ve got three lightweights up here on the (stage) and I have my eye on all of this.
“I’m not up here just as an owner, you know, player/manager,” the Irishman continued.
Conor McGregor explains how his skills would translate to the BKFC ring
Of course, during ‘The Notorious’ time with the UFC, in 2017 they allowed him to compete in a boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather, as they co-promoted the event.
That, though, is extremely unlikely to happen with BKFC, and if McGregor does truly desire to compete under the BKFC banner, it will likely be without any support from the UFC.
With that, the 36-year-old explained that he is ‘tingling’ with excitement at the thought of competing without gloves on.
“I was very close to my bout taking place, about three or four weeks out I had a little lapse in concentration, I’m s*** hot, I’m very very good, I mean that.
“My accuracy will lend well to this sport, you take my gloves off and my speed and accuracy will lend very well to this game. I’m just looking forward to getting back into the Octagon myself, handling my business with (UFC) and seeing what the future holds. The future’s bright that’s for sure,” the Irishman continued to hint.
One of BKFC’s biggest stars, Mike Perry, is set to take on Internet sensation turned boxer, Jake Paul, this coming Saturday in a boxing bout.
Ahead of the spectacle, McGregor issued some words of support to his fighter, ‘Platinum’ Perry.
“Look at what has happened to Michael Perry, one of our big stars here, the ‘King of Violence’ he titles himself and you know, he’s had such a rise in the sport now he’s up against a little dweeb of a thing in a fight this weekend and we’re all rooting for him, this is the real deal.”
