Ahead of his enormous return fight at UFC 304, ‘The Baddy’ knows that a statement win could be the key when he re-enters negotiations.
At UFC 304 in Manchester on July 27, there’s a very real possibility that Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett will get a louder cheer than either of the two British champions fighting ahead of him; and it’s that type of starpower that the UFC will be hoping to retain from the morning of July 28.

Paddy Pimblett returns to action to face ‘King’ Green at UFC 304
Following his decision win over Tony Ferguson back in December, Paddy Pimblett finally returns to action at UFC 304 later this month to face the now-legally-named King (formerly Bobby) Green.
Whilst the Englishman rides into the homecoming PPV event on the back of a seven-fight winning streak, his opponent Green certainly can’t be overlooked, winning three of his last four fights – including a finish of ‘El Cucuy’ himself.
The pressure is undoubtedly on Pimblett to put on a show in front of the British faithful, even more so when considering that a viral finish could be his ticket to landing a much better contract as he moves closer to title contention.
Paddy Pimblett confirms UFC 304 is the final fight on his contract
Speaking with Mike Bohn via the MMA Junkie YouTube channel, Paddy Pimblett revealed that his upcoming fight with the-now ‘King’ Green will actually be the final fight left on his current UFC contract.
Whilst Pimblett explained that it’s unlikely that he’d sign with a rival promotion, the fan-favorite Liverpudlian did acknowledge that there could be a few ‘big-money’ offers being sent his way after July 27.
“It goes without saying: I wouldn’t want to go to a different organization. UFC is the cream of the crop, it’s the main place [to be]. When you say to people, ‘I do MMA’ most of them go, ‘What’s that?’ You say, ‘UFC’ – people don’t even know what MMA is, they know what UFC is.
“You never know, though. Some of these stupid YouTubers who are boxing could end up offering me millions to end up fighting one of them. So, we’ll see what happens.”
Whilst the allure of ‘big-money’ fights in the realm of crossover boxing is there, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t superb ‘Money’ fights still readily available in the UFC, i.e., a fellow fan favorite, Renato ‘Money’ Moicano.
Pimblett and Moicano have been calling each other out for a number of years, so it’s no surprise that the Scouser is eyeing a long-awaited clash with the Brazilian before 2024 comes to a close.
“Obviously, if I fight again this year, then I’m going to want to fight someone else and get in the rankings, and I’m going to want to fight someone higher up in the rankings. Me and Moicano have had a little back-and-forth – I’d love to fight Moicano.
“I think it would be absolutely hilarious to do a season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ with him,” Pimblett teased, adding “I think that would be one of the best seasons they’ve ever done.”
Earlier in the week, it was reported that Renato Moicano is set to make his own return at UFC Paris in September, a main event spot against French contender Benoit Saint-Denis.
“We’ll see what happens; this is the last fight on my contract, so we’ll be getting back to the renegotiation table after this. So, we’ll see what happens.”
When Bohn asked whether Pimblett would be in attendance for the UFC Paris main event between Renato Moicano and Benoit Saint-Denis, the lightweight superstar noted that should his schedule line up: “Yeah that’s a good shout to be honest.”
Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett vs King Green is set to go down live from the Co-op Arena in Manchester, England on July 27.
