Later tonight, Nate Diaz will clash with Jorge Masvidal in an eagerly-anticipated boxing match, and he’s taken preparation much more seriously than he did for his collision with Jake Paul.
The two UFC legends initially squared-off for the BMF title back in 2019, but with the Stockton native being pulled out by the doctor due to cuts, this evening’s clash serves as an opportunity for the icons to settle their differences once and for all.

Nate Diaz views Jorge Masvidal as a far bigger threat than Jake Paul
Throughout his career, Nate Diaz has earned a reputation as one of the gamest competitors in combat sports. With a gangster-esque attitude, the American defines the term, ‘anytime, anyplace, anywhere’, signing on the dotted line to face any fighter who dares call his name.
Thus, when Jake Paul, who had significantly more boxing experience, offered him a clash inside the squared circle, Diaz unsurprisingly said, ‘yes’.
Sadly, for the MMA community, the popular athlete was dropped en route to losing a unanimous decision. However, he gave the fans a glimmer of hope, landing several big shots and even putting him in a comical guillotine, which emerged as the main talking point from the event.

But had Paul really grasped his respect, perhaps Diaz would’ve gone the extra mile in training camp. Ultimately, while ‘The Problem Child’ carries immense power, he simply doesn’t generate the same level of fear that Jorge Masvidal does.
Therefore, during the build-up to his blockbuster rematch with the Miami brawler, the BJJ black belt has gone above and beyond to prepare to his optimum ability, knowing that a man like ‘Gamebred’ can’t be underestimated.
During an interview with the Full Send Podcast, he explained: “Masivdal is a f**ing OG of the fight game. He’s been around and done a lot of good work. I know what I’ve gotten myself into. I knew last time, too, and it wasn’t very scary.
“If you fight somebody, a lot of the time, they have to be scary, you need think, ‘This motherf***er knocks people out and all kind of s**t’. So, I take it seriously. I’m not f***ing around and I’m sure he’s not, I know he’s not, otherwise he wouldn’t have made it this far.
“The other guy had a whole different situation. He was making out to be a YouTuber kid and that he had nothing to lose, and he doesn’t. He’s not very scary, I would say. I thought, ‘I’ll fight this motherf***er any day of the week.
“That’s different to training to fight someone who’s been competing at the highest level for 20 years. No matter how good Jake Paul is or is going to be, he isn’t there yet. So, that’s why he’s able to get these wins.”
Regardless, the combination of the pair of UFC vets is always bound to create excitement. However, at the press conference, it was a streamer that really got under Diaz’s skin.

While media events usually give a platform for journalists to ask professional questions, on this occasion, an influencer named N3ON, grabbed the mic and made a jibe that Diaz did not find amusing.
The online star asked: “When you do get knocked out, are you going to retire?” Aggravated by the comments, the fighter replied: “Who said that so I know who you are? That little b**** boy, that little p**** f*****? I’m going to kick you in your f****** leg, motherf*****. F*** you!”
He continued: “It’s little s*** kids like this little b**** talking that changes the times. You need your little ass whooped. I got little girls over here that’ll f*** you up.”
The situation quickly erupted past the point of return, with the content creator exiting the building, where he was subsequently chased by Diaz’s team.
And this isn’t the first time N3ON has rubbed members of the MMA community up the wrong way, with Dana White referring to the 19-year-old as a ‘punk’ for an incident that occurred at a UFC event.
