Jake Paul’s manager says ‘The Problem Child’ is willing to rematch Mike Perry in MMA on one condition

According to his manager, Jake Paul is more than happy to fight Mike Perry in MMA, but there’s one huge condition that must be met.

The combat sports stars are scheduled to compete in an eagerly-anticipated boxing match on July 20 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, USA.

Jake Paul and Mike Perry could rematch in MMA

In just a matter of weeks, Jake Paul and Mike Perry will clash in a battle that’s bound to create fireworks.

While the YouTube sensation was originally scheduled to go head-to-head with Mike Tyson, an ulcer flare-up aboard a plane, prompted the 57-year-old to pull out, opening the door for the ex-UFC star to step up to the plate and give the world a much more intriguing bout.

While smaller than Paul, Perry undoubtedly presents the toughest test the social media icon has faced since Tommy Fury.

Currently riding a wave of momentum, the formidable fighter will enter the ring off the back of five consecutive BKFC wins over an array of classy operators, including Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold.

Therefore, while bare-knuckle boxing isn’t quite the ‘sweet science’, the American certainly knows a thing or two about hand-to-hand combat.

Ultimately, on July 20, as long as he is physically able to do so, Perry will march forward, with a willingness to take every shot fired in his direction, to overwhelm and ultimately drown one of the most controversial characters in all of combat sports.

The event looks destined to entertain, and according to Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian, ‘The Problem Child’ isn’t scared of running it back in MMA. However, the businessman claims in order for a collision in the cage to materialize, the boxing match will have to do big numbers.

During an interview on The MMA Hour, he explained: “I think if the fight makes sense, that’s absolutely something that Jake would like to do.”

“Let’s see how it does, how it performs if there is appetite for that, Jake has said to me 100 percent he would be down to do MMA with Mike Perry.”

Which promotion would stage an MMA fight between Jake Paul and Mike Perry?

In January 2023, Paul signed a major multi-fight deal with the PFL. However, despite the enormous hype generated at the time, the Cleveland native has yet to sport the MMA gloves.

But now, the perfect match-up seems to have revealed itself. Throughout his boxing career, Paul has gone above and beyond to aggravate the MMA community.

By bringing Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren to the boxing world, he was able to render two combat sports legends unconscious, without them being able to utilize their core skill sets.

And if that wasn’t frustrating enough, he’s gone as far as claiming he could’ve beaten them in legitimate MMA matches.

Therefore, it goes without saying that fans want to see the polarizing figure attempt to walk the walk. Thus, with ‘Platinum’ no longer signed with the UFC, a brawl in the PFL would make perfect sense.

However, while Paul possesses striking skills in abundance and even a high school wrestling background, actually fighting in MMA is a completely different kettle of fish, especially against an animal like Perry.
