Paddy Pimblett is one of the most divisive fighters on the UFC roster, with fans either loving or hating the brash Brit.
Former Cage Warriors champion Pimblett spent years honing his craft away from the UFC, winning gold in the promotion and turning down a number of contracts in order to make sure he was ready for a run.
He finally joined up with MMA’s number one promotion in 2021 and has impressed in the years since.
He is currently on a lengthy winning streak dating back to his days outside the UFC, and has won his first seven under their banner.
At UFC 314, Pimblett passed his toughest test yet by beating MMA legend Michael Chandler , and there looks to be more to come from “The Baddie”.

Paddy Pimblett fat
During his time away from fighting, Paddy Pimblett is infamous for ballooning in weight. He is said to have reached as heavy as 210lb or more, after having fought at 155lb just weeks prior, due to his love of junk food outside of camp.

Paddy Pimblett’s net worth
With all MMA fighters, the reported net worth on most websites is generally incorrect. Pimblett was allegedly underpaid for his early UFC fights, but announced in early 2023 that he had signed a new deal, with a number of high-profile brand deals also going his way.
A report from GiveMeSport claims that he is now worth $5 million, although that must be taken with a grain of salt by fans.
Paddy Pimblett’s next fight
After beating Chandler at UFC 314, Pimblett has his sights set on a mega-money fight with Charles Oliveira in the not-too-distant future.
‘The Baddy’, speaking after his win over Chandler, also namechecked a few other top fighters he’d be interested in going toe-to-toe with, saying:
Pimblett said: “I respect Dustin [Poirier], Justin [Gaethje], and Charles. Charles is the biggest legend out of them all, and he gets called the best submission artist the UFC’s ever seen. Well, I dispute that. I’m here, so me versus Charles.”
Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon
The most infamous fight of Pimblett’s UFC career came in December of 2022 when he faced American Jared Gordon in Las Vegas.
After a lengthy run of wins in the UK and behind closed doors, he was introduced to the Stateside audience after a tumultuous fight week.
Unfortunately for Pimblett, his issues outside of the octagon were compounded by an unimpressive one in it, and it appeared he was certain to lose as they headed to the scorecards.
However, despite Gordon landing his hooks at will, all three judges gave the Brit the win to keep his unbeaten UFC start going.
Paddy Pimblett vs Tony Ferguson
After the disappointment of the Gordon performance was compounded by public backlash and an inability to fight for a year, Pimblett returned with a vengeance in December against Tony Ferguson at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Former interim champion Ferguson enlisted self-help and fitness guru David Goggins to help him prepare for the fight after embarking on a lengthy losing streak.
But it couldn’t help him against a relentless Pimblett, who piled on the pressure and almost got a finish in round one.
Paddy Pimblett vs Ilia Topuria
There is a long-standing feud between current featherweight champion Ilia Topuria and Pimblett that dates back to the pair’s run-in during the build-up to UFC London in 2022.
The pair were due on the same card but ran into one another at the fighter hotel and had a brief fracas.
At one point, Pimblett is believed to have thrown a bottle of hand sanitizer at his rival. This resulted in the nickname ‘Hand sanitizer’ being given to the Georgian by British fight fans.
Paddy Pimblett vs Dillon Danis
Paddy Pimblett, like all UFC prospects with some degree of hype, has an ongoing feud of sorts with former Bellator star Dillon Danis.
The jiu-jitsu black belt has regularly called out Pimblett, but does it for most fighters who have any degree of name value.
For his part, Pimblett has said of Danis: “If he gets signed, lad, let’s do it. He fought Logan Paul and threw anybody six punches. He threw more punches at the security guards than he did at Logan.”
Paddy Pimblett, Dana White, and Ariel Helwani
Pimblett has a long-standing feud with journalist Ariel Helwani, dating back to the latter part of 2022 in the build-up to UFC 282.
It was exacerbated when he appeared on a podcast mocking Helwani with UFC boss Dana White, which resulted in the reporter clapping back at his claims.
The feud is based around Pimblett’s insistence, as a result of his manager Graham Boylan’s policy, which is now believed to be overturned, that he be paid for interviews. This is unheard of for most sportspeople and against many journalistic codes.
In a recent YouTube Q&A, Pimblett declared that he would be willing to work out his issues with Helwani in the future.
Paddy Pimblett injury
During his most infamous UFC fight against Gordon, Pimblett suffered an ankle injury, which he blamed for his poor showing.
It turns out he may have been right, as the knock required surgery, and he was out of action for a year after the fact, returning and looking much better against Tony Ferguson.
Paddy Pimblett’s drink
Pimblett entered the hydration beverage market to compete with Logan Paul and KSI in 2022, bringing out Body Fuel with Applied Nutrition.
There are a number of flavours, all quite similar to Prime, and the general taste is similar, although the ingredients are different.
Paul has claimed that he would be willing to head into the octagon to fight Pimblett over the issue, and has also threatened legal action over a comparison video the Brit made.
Paddy Pimblett’s walk-out song
Usually, Paddy Pimblett walks out to a remix of the songs Lethal Industry by Tiesto and Heads Will Roll by the Yeah Yeahs.
Fans will chant along to the beat, particularly the ‘Where’s Your Head At?’ section as he heads into the cage.
He has been walking out to this song since his Cage Warriors days, and it has translated all the way over to America for his UFC career.
