A new date has been set for the highly anticipated boxing fight between former undisputed heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson and internet star, Jake Paul, with it now unusually taking place on a Friday.
The bout between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul was originally scheduled to take place on July 20, however, the event was postponed after the 57-year-old suffered an ulcer flare-up on a recent flight.
Following the postponement, Most Valuable Promotions provided a statement that ensured they would re-book the fight, allowing for both Tyson and Paul to have the same amount of time to prepare for the fight.

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson rescheduled for November 15
Most Valuable Promotions announced this Friday that the bout has been officially rescheduled for Friday, November 15, and will still take place from the AT&T Stadium, in Arlington, Texas.
Although it is unusual for a boxing event of this magnitude to take place on a Friday, the reason is because the new date clashes with the upcoming NFL season.
The AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, will be in use on Monday, November 18, with the Cowboys taking on the Houston Texans in the new season so an additional few days are needed to prepare the stadium for that.
“Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared, with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at the AT&T stadium in the midst of the Cowboys season,” Co-founder of MVP, Nakisa Bidarian told in a statement.
The fight will still be streamed worldwide on Netflix and will remain a professional boxing bout, with the result affecting both fighters’ records.
Fortunately for fans, the original co-main event between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will continue to serve as the co-main event, with that also being rescheduled for November 15.
Dana White is hopeful that Mike Tyson will knock out Jake Paul
UFC CEO, Dana White, has an ongoing feud with ‘The Problem Child’ after the two have historically gone back and forth online.
Despite wishing the fight wasn’t going ahead, White admitted that he wants to see 57-year-old Tyson knock out Paul.
“Pretty much everybody in the room and the other room wants to see Jake Paul get knocked out,” White said on the Flagrant podcast.
“When this fight happens, Tyson will be 58 f****** years old, under any circumstances an almost 60-year-old man shouldn’t be fighting a 27-year-old guy, even if it’s Mike Tyson. It’s just f****** ridiculous.” White added.
