Conor McGregor declares he was out after 2.15am at party in his pub just weeks out from UFC 303 fight

Conor McGregor doesn’t appear to have slowed down his partying lifestyle as his octagon return edges closer.

The legendary UFC fighter will take on Michael Chandler at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 29 in the main event of UFC 303. But he is still regularly being spotted at his Dublin pub The Black Forge Inn, where he partied the night away on Friday.

Chandler has remained secluded in his Florida fight camp, where he posts seldom training videos but otherwise is staying quiet after a years-long build-up. Meanwhile, McGregor has been enjoying the limelight with a number of ventures including Friday’s gig.

Conor McGregor parties until the early hours at secret gig in Dublin pub

On Friday night, McGregor’s famed Dublin hotspot hosted a secret gig with American DJ Mark ‘MK Kinchen and Irish group Belters Only. And the Irishman made a special guest appearance with his fiancee Dee Devlin, partying with fans and celebrities alike.

Social media influencer and Misfits Boxing star Ben Williams was one of the major names in attendance, as well as McGregor’s teammates Cian Cowley and TUF fighter Lee Hammond. McGregor has publicly insisted he is done with drinking until fight night, but posed holding bottles of his Proper Twelve whiskey.

And in a new video posted to social media and quickly deleted, the two-weight world champion repeatedly showed off his plush Rolex watch as he declared he was out at “quarter past two”. He shared a number of slides showing him with fans and ring girls, as well as his fiancee Devlin.

He captioned the post, which went out to his 44million+ followers: “Stocky tills at @theblackforgeinn. Quarter past 2 in the mornin ye hahahaaha.”

Conor McGregor insists he has quit alcohol as UFC 303 fight moves closer

Within a month, we will be deep into McGregor’s first fight week since the summer of July 2021. And despite his antics on social media, he told fans on a Kick livestream with Duelbits during the week that he had been steering clear of drinking since the ten week mark.

He ordered a number of drinks including his Forged Irish Stout and bottles of his Proper Twelve whiskey during the stream. But he promised that he was just smelling them as he was finished with alcohol for the next few weeks.

“That’s unbelievable folks,” he said after taking a whiff of a stout, which he appears to have last drank during a PR event attended by Bloody Elbow last month in County Meath. “I’ve been off the drinks, I’ve been off my beautiful products since the ten week mark.

“So we’re five weeks and five days out, I’m taking this seriously… Forged Irish Stout, look at the cream on that my man!”

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler go head-to-head in Dublin on June 3

McGregor and Chandler will meet for the first time since filming The Ultimate Fighter at the start of last year when they come to Dublin for a press conference at the start of June. The Irishman hasn’t been in front of a home crowd since the build for his 2015 bout with Jose Aldo.

Their face-off will kick off an exciting month that will culminate in International Fight Week in Las Vegas. It was announced this week that the pair would be meeting in the Irish capital through a video on Dana White’s Instagram, with tickets on sale this week.

“Next week is UFC 302 in Newark,” White told fans in the social media video which was viewed over 5million times. “When that fight is over, I’m getting on a plane and I’m flying straight to Dublin, Ireland.

“We’re holding a Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler press conference live and free on June 3 at the 3Arena, I haven’t been to Ireland for a while, the last time I was there was for McGregor-[Aldo] presser and it was incredible. I expect this to be the same.”
