Paddy Pimblett shares concern about his UFC 304 fight camp… ‘This will be the worst fight camp I’ve ever had’

Popular UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett has shared his main concern regarding his UFC 304 fight camp, stating that it will be his ‘worst fight camp ever’.

Paddy Pimblett returns to the Octagon at UFC 304 on July 27th, as he prepares to take on number 15 ranked lightweight, Bobby Green.

Paddy ‘The Baddy’s’ last fight came against Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 this past December, and the Brit picked up the unanimous decision victory, despite almost finishing Ferguson early in the fight.

‘King’ Bobby Green on the other hand fought on the huge milestone UFC 300 event, playing spoiler to Jim Miller‘s party, dominating him over three rounds.

Paddy Pimblett shares UFC 304 fight camp concern

Following his win over ‘El Cucuy’, Pimblett became a father after his wife gave birth to twins. Heading into his UFC 304 fight camp, the scouser is slightly concerned that it will be his worst camp ever, because of the lack of sleep he will be getting.

“By the time I fight, the babies will only be 14 and a half weeks (old), so that’s the annoying thing about this. People are like ‘You need to go and stay somewhere else so you’re sleeping of a night’, but I don’t want to miss my kids growing up.” Pimblett told TheMacLife.

“I don’t want to go and stay somewhere else, I want to be there with them every day and of a night. It’s going to be hard I’ve said this to a few people, this is going to be the worst fight camp of my life, it’s going to be very hard.” Pimblett added.

Not only is the 29-year-old having to look after newborn twins, but the UFC 304 fight card takes place early morning local British Summer Time, meaning his fight against Green will likely take place at around 3:00am.

With that, Pimblett believes that Green will have an advantage in this fight because he doesn’t need to adjust his body clock.

“I think it plays into an advantage for (the fighters coming over from America). They don’t have to change nothing, lad. They just stick to the way they are whereas I’m going to have to start getting up at 3:00am.

“Then I’ve got to get all the way to the gym at three in the morning, it’s not happening. (I’ll start doing that) a couple of weeks out probably. I’ll speak to coaches and ask when they recommend the best time to do it because I haven’t got a clue.” Pimblett stated.

Pimblett goes in on ‘little sausage’ Bobby Green

Despite Bobby Green being ranked in the 155lb division, the Liverpudlian has admitted that he wanted to fight Renato Moicano instead because it would’ve made for a more enjoyable lead-up to the fight.

Ahead of the fight, ‘King’ Green has torn into Pimblett calling him a ‘spoiled brat’ and claiming that he is going to humble the Brit.

Pimblett has fired back, saying, “Bobby Green’s just a bell***. He’s a proper tool lad, he’s a proper weapon. The funniest thing is he said ‘He mentioned me’, I didn’t mention you, you mentioned me first so then I mentioned you, you little sausage.

“I think he’s a proper s*** human being. He’s just a proper w***** lad.” Pimblett admitted.
