A feud is breaking out online between UFC commentator Daniel Cormier and welterweight contender, Joaquin Buckley.
Joaquin Buckley picked up what is probably the biggest win of his career this past weekend at UFC St. Louis, dominating Nursulton Ruziboev over three rounds.
Following the fight, ‘New Mansa’ seemingly wasted his mic time by calling for a fight against Conor McGregor, which was then branded as ‘the worst callout in history’ by commentator, Daniel Cormier.

Joaquin Buckley bites back at Daniel Cormier for his comments
On a recent episode of Good Guy/Bad Guy, both ‘DC’ and Chael Sonnen ripped into the 30-year-old for his ‘horrible’ callout of Conor McGregor.
Conor McGregor is already booked to fight Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303, making the callout redundant. Not only that, but it is a matchup that is very unlikely to be made regardless.
Buckley has since accused Bisping, Sonnen, and Michael Bisping of twisting his words, as he has furiously struck back at the trio.
“Let this be known (Daniel Cormier, Michael Bisping, and Chael Sonnen) ya mommas raised some h***. Y’all really trying to twist up my words knowing damn well what I said in that cage, but it’s ok we can all have some fun.” he said on X.
Despite getting on the defensive, even Buckley recognized that his callout of ‘The Notorious’ was wasted, and he pivoted to former welterweight title challenger, Gilbert Burns instead.
“I’m definitely not going to get that (Conor McGregor fight), but why not take chances, right? Gilbert Burns, I think it’s a beautiful fight, a beautiful matchup.” Buckley admitted during the post-fight press conference.
‘Durinho’ has since replied on the Show Me The Money podcast, simply stating ‘Let’s do it’ and that he never says no to any fights.
Daniel Cormier slams Joaquin Buckley again as the feud continues
Unprepared to walk away from the feud, Daniel Cormier has again gone off on Buckley, telling him to listen and to not let a few wins get him ‘too excited’.
“Shut up p****! Maybe listen. You had a dumb ass callout. You’re getting talked about by 3 of the biggest voices in the game.” Cormier started.
“Maybe listen. It was the worst callout in history. Don’t let winning a few fights at 170lbs get you too excited bruh. Don’t mention Audrey!” added Cormier.
The majority of the UFC fanbase has reacted in favor of Cormier, agreeing that it was the ‘worst callout ever’, with one fan on X saying, “To be fair it is indeed arguably the worst callout ever.”
Although Cormier may have taken a slightly unprofessional approach to the situation, replying to another fan who asked what ‘DC’ will do when he has to interview Buckley again, the former two-weight champion simply said, “Be a professional!”
