‘It’s crazy to talk like that’… Sean O’Malley FaceTimes Ryan Garcia during livestream to set up crossover super-fight

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley called Ryan Garcia during a Twitch livestream to send yet another ominous threat to the boxing superstar.

As the online feud between Sean O’Malley and Ryan Garcia continues, the brash UFC bantamweight champion decided to FaceTime the divisive boxing superstar in a recent livestream of Call of Duty: Warzone.

Aside from being the king of the 135lb division in the UFC, Sean O’Malley is also an avid streamer who can often be found live on Twitch playing the popular battle royale video game Call of Duty: Warzone.

During a recent livestream, O’Malley decided to FaceTime Ryan Garcia and to absolutely no one’s surprise, it took less than 10 seconds before the two started hurling expletive-laced rants at one another:

“Buddy Ryan! Congratulations on beating Devin Haney, I’m not going to lie I feel like I could beat Devin though, what do you think about that? [Garcia: I’d whoop you’re a** in MMA and boxing] If you want to be real, listen if you want to be real in reality; I could kill you in minutes – literally, I could kill you though.”

Whilst you couldn’t hear much of what Garcia was shouting through the call in response, the boxing star did repeatedly mention the idea of fighting O’Malley in the cage, as opposed to the ring – unsurprisingly, the UFC champion dismissed the call as nonsensical:

“You’re all talk though, that’s all talk; that’s not real- real-life s*** I would kill you and that’s got to make you feel like a b****.”

“You know what I’m saying, I’m pretty confident – it’s just crazy to talk like that when you know that I could kill you.” said ‘Suga’, who recently took his career to new heights after successfully defending his 145lb title against Marlon Vera at UFC 299.

O’Malley then stated that a boxing match would be preferred over a ‘legitimate’ fight (i.e., MMA) as “that’s actually competitive, a real fight is not competitive, not even a little bit.”

“What weight would you want to box at though? What weight do you want an MMA fight at? I fight at 135 but for you, we can do whatever you want – 145 works… I’ll beat you in MMA easy, and then we can box, let’s make it happen.”

“I’m going to go out there and do what I need to do against Merab, put his lights out – Merab sucks that’s easy, but I’ll f*** you up later G, peace out.”

Whilst either a boxing fight or MMA clash between Garcia and O’Malley would certainly draw the eyes of the combat sports world, the potential super-fight has already been slammed by the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor slams both O’Malley and Garcia for online feud

Whilst the online feud has exploded in both the MMA and boxing space, that doesn’t mean that everyone is on board with a potential crossover super-fight between the two budding superstars, including Conor McGregor.

‘Notorious’ returns to action at UFC 303 in late-June, but spoke out against both Garcia and O’Malley following the boxer’s demolition of Devin Haney earlier in the month, writing online in a now-deleted post:

“Cheated the weight and was juiced, lifetime ban. Sad to see, sad to say… This ostarine it reminds me of Sean o malley was on that as well… I’ll bust yous both up, does you want a spare I will set flights right now for you both… Two little ostraine heads, I’ll ride you both like yous are ostriches.”

One boxing page called the threat “the most savage tweet in the history of X,” yet former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier stated that McGregor is getting involved in the Garcia-O’Malley feud out of jealousy.

Speaking via his official YouTube channel, Cormier pondered: “Is that why Conor is doing it though, because he can see that this young man is following in his footsteps, and he is becoming such a great star?”

“Because they say that imitation is the greatest compliment you could receive, but when you are the biggest star, you see somebody coming up behind you; you might go, ‘I don’t like this guy’.”

Conor McGregor takes on Michael Chandler at UFC 303, Sean O’Malley’s next bout is expected to be against Merab Dvalishvili later this year.
