Undefeated UFC middleweight details how he would ‘ragdoll’ and ‘throw around’ Khamzat Chimaev in potential matchup

Following another win this past weekend at UFC 300, Bo Nickal has detailed how a potential fight between himself and Khamzat Chimaev would go down.

Bo Nickal scored his third UFC finish this past weekend at UFC 300, submitting Cody Brundage in round two. Going into the fight the main talking point was that Nickal was on the main card, ahead of several former UFC champions.

Despite another dominant performance, the 28-year-old wasn’t entirely pleased with himself and he seemingly still has a lot to do to win over the crowd.

“It was actually crazy because I saw him walk over to where we exit the Octagon and I was like, ‘what’s he doing over there’, I’ve never seen him do that before where he just greeted me after the fight. He told me that I’m going to be one of the biggest stars the sport has ever seen if I keep doing what I’m doing.

“That was cool to hear especially because out of anybody that can predict those types of things, he’s the guy that I respect his opinion, so it meant a lot.” Nickal said on The MMA Hour.

The UFC are clearly doing everything they can to push the credentialed wrestler to the mainstream masses, as his UFC 300 appearance was his third on a main card of a big PPV.

Bo Nickal responds to Khamzat Chimaev’s comments

Khamzat Chimaev was not impressed by Bo Nickal’s performance and shared his opinion on the 28-year-old’s wrestling. “This wrestling was big bulls***”, ‘Borz’ commented on X.

Since then, Nickal has responded to Chimaev’s comments claiming that a fight between him and Chimaev will happen.

“We’re going to make that fight happen. Who were you fighting at 5-0 bro, probably some random dude in Europe.” Nickal jibed. Khamzat Chimaev is scheduled to take on Robert Whittaker in the main event of the UFC’s inaugural event in Saudi Arabia on June 22nd.

Although it is unlikely to happen anytime soon, the 28-year-old has offered a breakdown of how that possible fight would go.

“I think I’d do very similarly to him what I did to this last guy (Cody Brundage). I’d take him down, ragdoll him, and throw him around, he’s not a big 185lber, he gets tired so, is the first round going to be a little better and more competitive, probably, but if that fight’s 5 rounds, I don’t think he makes it 5 rounds.” Nickal explained.

Following his last fight against Kamaru Usman, Chimaev’s cardio has come under fire and has been highlighted as his main weakness. If ‘Borz’ beats Whittaker on June 22nd, he will likely realize a middleweight title shot.
