Bobby Green wasn’t feeling sentimental at UFC 300 this Saturday, picking up the decision win over Jim Miller, and returning to the win column.
Jim Miller became the first fighter in UFC history to compete at UFC 100, 200, and 300, along with all the other records the 40-year-old holds.
Bobby Green was coming in off a horrendous loss to Jalin Turner in December, where he suffered his first knockout loss since 2022.
With a win, Miller would’ve seen himself re-enter the UFC lightweight rankings, which would’ve been a tremendous feat at 40 years old.
Sean O’Malley hails Bobby Green’s ‘badass style’
The first round was a relatively close one in which Jim Miller had some moments of promise, dropping ‘King’ Green and landing some damaging shots.
Despite that, the 37-year-old came out in round two and turned the tide of the fight, as he consistently began finding a home for the jab, landing it at will. Midway through round two, Green opened up multiple cuts on the face of Miller, as the canvas began getting painted red.
A similar story played out in round three as Green continued to pump out the jab and land it at will. In the final proceedings of the fight, ‘King’ dropped the veteran with a big right hand, and it seemed as though he was going to get the finish.

Miller showcased his grit and heart though, and made it to the judge’s scorecards.
David Lethaby scored Green two 10-8 rounds (30-25) for rounds two and three with one, Tony Weeks gave Miller round one but also scored two and three a 10-8 (29-26), and Chris Lee scored a 10-8 in round three, but not round two (29-27).

UFC bantamweight champion, Sean O’Malley had some words of praise for Green as he commented on X: “Bobby Green has a badass fight style.”
Bobby Green calls out ‘slimy’ Paddy Pimblett
Fellow UFC lightweight, Paddy Pimblett, recently listed a few potential opponents for his next outing, with Bobby Green being one of the names he would like to fight.
“I’m just getting started. Paddy how dare you, you slimy sugary snake, how dare you call my name. I’m coming after you. July I’m coming to your backyard in front of your people, to kick your ass.” Green said in his Octagon interview.
Dana White recently announced that the UFC is returning to Manchester in July with a PPV event. The last time the promotion hosted an event in Manchester was in 2016 when Michael Bisping defended his middleweight title against Dan Henderson.
With Paddy ‘The Baddy’ already having called Green out previously, this is a fight that could certainly happen next, considering the trajectory of both 155lbers.
