Former world champion Jessica Andrade has named the four UFC fighters who she believes would deserve to fight her for the ‘Female BMF’ title.
On the main card of UFC 300, the BMF title will be contested between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway; however, the purely promotional belt has so far only been available to male athletes – should the UFC one day create a female BMF belt, who would be your women’s BMF champion?

Jessica Andrade returns to the octagon this weekend at UFC 300
Former world champion Jessica Andrade returns to the octagon this weekend for the enormous UFC 300 PPV, where she will face fellow Brazilian strawweight, Marina Rodriguez.
Rodriguez recently bounced back from consecutive losses to Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba with an impressive round two TKO win over Michelle Waterson-Gomez in late 2023.
Meanwhile, Andrade is entering the cage for the first time in 2024, having also bounced back from three consecutive losses in 2023 with a stoppage victory over Mackenzie Dern in her last outing.
Jessica Andrade wants the UFC to develop a female BMF belt
Speaking at the pre-fight media day, Andrade noted that “it would be super awesome if the UFC had a BMF female” belt on offer, especially since the silver-plated strap to be contested between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway has received so much attention in the lead up to UFC 300.
Yet despite 27 of her 37 professional fights ending inside the distance, Andrade admitted that she was initially skeptical about whether she would even be part of that ‘BMF’ categorization of female fighters in the UFC.
“I was talking yesterday about what if the UFC actually had a BMF for the women and I just don’t consider myself like all these names and such tough fighters, that I’d be considered in this category. I was told ‘No are you kidding me? You’re crazy and always throw out bangers!’”
“I would love to have that opportunity, that would be really cool but I’m just thinking about who could be the opponent,” for a potential female-only BMF belt, with the Queen of Chaos throwing out four names who she thinks would deserve such a title:
“You’ve got Valentina Shevchenko, you have Zhang Weili, you have Amanda [Nunes] if she decided to come back, Angela Hill has fought everyone – it would be an amazing thing and I hope that the UFC continues to consider me in the pool of candidates for something like that.”
A chance to top $530,000 in post-fight bonuses this weekend
Whilst post-fight bonus machines like Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, and Max Holloway feature further up the UFC 300 card, Jessica Andrade is also looking to extend her own all-time record for the most post-fight bonuses in the women’s divisions.
Heading into UFC 300 this weekend, Andrade has earned herself a whopping 10 post-fight bonuses of $50,000 – four for ‘Fight of the Night’ and six for ‘Performance of the Night’.
- Jessica Andrade: (10) – Four FOTN, Six POTN
- Ronda Rousey: (7) – Two FOTN, Five POTN
- Rose Namajunas: (6) – Three FOTN, Three POTN
- Mackenzie Dern: (6) – Three FOTN, Three POTN
- Amanda Nunes: (5) – 0 FOTN, Five POTN
- Zhang Weili: (5) – One FOTN, Four POTN
To put that into context, that’s the same number of bonuses as Conor McGregor, and one more than Jon Jones.
Yet there’s an opportunity to almost double her entire post-fight earnings this weekend after Dana White confirmed that the awards have been upped to an astonishing $300,000.
Jessica Andrade takes on Marina Rodriguez on the early prelims of UFC 300, so make sure you are tuned in nice and early to watch the Queen of Chaos throw down once again.
