Former UFC champion and commentator Michael Bisping isn’t sitting on the fence for UFC 300’s main event as he sees Pereira vs Hill ending in an early KO.
UFC 300 features 12 current or former champions and with so many superstars and finishers scattered throughout the card, fans can expect at least one or two major upsets this weekend.

Alex Pereira takes on Jamahal Hill in the main event of UFC 300
UFC 300 goes down this weekend with Alex Pereira defending his light heavyweight title against former champion Jamahal Hill in the main event of the evening.
Hill is riding a four-fight winning streak as he looks to recapture the belt he never technically lost, following his vacating of the 205lb title due to an Achilles injury in 2023.
Standing across the octagon will be the ever-intimidating Alex Pereira, who has blossomed into one of the biggest superstars in the entire promotion despite only having seven fights in the UFC to this point.
Whilst the main event might be scheduled for five five-minute rounds, the consensus within the MMA community is that the bout will end in an early KO/TKO stoppage – and Michael Bisping thinks he knows exactly who will land that finishing shot.
Michael Bisping makes bold prediction for Alex Pereira vs Jamahal Hill
Whilst Alex Pereira might be the betting favorite to retain his light heavyweight title this weekend at UFC 300, one former champion who is siding with the underdog to get his hand raised is none other than Michael Bisping.
Speaking after the pre-fight press conference via the TNT Sports YouTube channel, the fan-favorite fighter-turned-commentator said that he was going “out on a limb” to predict that Jamahal Hill will earn a stunning KO victory in Las Vegas:
“One round or two rounds, somebody is going to get knocked out and I don’t care, I’ll go out on a limb: Jamahal Hill is going to knock out Alex Pereira, that’s what I think.”
Bisping doesn’t care and noted that Hill “doesn’t care [either], he’s from the mean streets of Detroit and he’s going to walk forwards from the get-go and get right in his face.”
The former middleweight champion said that whilst ‘Poatan’ might be known for his outstanding KO power, fans shouldn’t underestimate the chin or durability of Hill:
“Jamahal Hill can take the shots, remember that Alex Pereira does have devastating power but when he fought Jan Blachowicz it wasn’t like every time [that] he touched him, he put him to sleep. I think Jamahal can take those shots.”
It’s certainly a bold prediction, but Bisping isn’t alone in believing that ‘Sweet Dreams’ can earn his eighth KO/TKO win of his professional career – with Israel Adesanya also predicting that Hill will finish Pereira inside the first few rounds.
“This fight is going to be ridiculous, and somebody is going to go to sleep.”
Bisping expects the main event to also earn an extra $300,000
At the pre-fight press conference, Dana White was enticed to up the post-fight bonuses from $50,000 to a whopping $300,000 – meaning that there could very well be $1.2 million in bonuses awarded this weekend.
Unsurprisingly, given the nature of his big-money prediction, Bisping expects the main event between Alex Pereira and Jamahal to be one of those contests that ends with an extra $300,000 being awarded:
“You’ve got to go with the main event because Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira, as I say, they’re going to go after each other right from the moment that the referee says fight – that’s it, it’s on straight away.”
“It will be a phenomenal night of fights” celebrated ‘The Count’, who estimated that following the likes of Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, and Zhang Weili in the bouts before; “When they throw down like they’re going to, the place is going to go absolutely ballistic.”
“That fight will [either] get a bonus or result in a bonus, I guarantee it.”
UFC 300 goes down this Saturday, April 13 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
