Bobby ‘King’ Green claims that fellow veteran Jim ‘A-10’ Miller will be looking for a quick exit after the cage doors lock behind them at UFC 300 this weekend.
Bobby Green and Jim Miller have an astonishing 101 professional MMA fights between them, yet ‘King’ argues that their upcoming clash at UFC 300 on Saturday evening will be unlike anything that ‘A-10’ has ever been part of before.

Two MMA legends collide on the early prelims of UFC 300
UFC 300 has everything that MMA fans could hope for; world title fights, number-one contender bouts, rising prospects, and of course, legendary veterans of the game in the form of Jim Miller and Bobby Green.
Heading into UFC 300, Miller is riding a two-fight winning streak which includes a first-round knockout of Jesse Butler and a third-round submission of Gabriel Benitez.
Standing opposite him on Saturday evening will be Bobby Green, who is himself coming off a brutal KO loss to Jalin Turner back in December 2023 – now, ‘King’ is looking to get back into the win column in a big way and has even teased that victory is “inevitable.”
Bobby Green makes bold prediction of how Jim Miller fight will end
Speaking to fan-favorite MMA journalist and presenter Karyn Bryant via her official YouTube channel, Green noted that whilst he and Miller share outstanding levels of octagon experience, Miller has never faced such a battle as he will at UFC 300:
“He’s been in a bunch of wars the same as I, so we both share those similarities, but this dance will be a lot different than any other dance he’s dealt with before,” said the 37-year-old lightweight.
“What am I expecting? I’m expecting him to get hit a lot, I’m expecting him to look for a way out, that’s what I’m expecting him to do. I know he’s been through so many tests, but once he realizes how hard he’s getting hit and how many times they’re coming, it’s just inevitable.”
Green then made a rather bold prediction for how his UFC 300 clash with Miller will end, with ‘King’ claiming that he wants to earn his 10th submission win of his career at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday evening.
“To be honest, what I would like to do is to try and sub him out, I noticed that once I subbed Tony [Ferguson] that people were saying ‘oh he doesn’t have Jiu-jitsu’ – like I’ve been working on my Jiu-jitsu for so long.”
Jim Miller has only ever been submitted three times as a professional MMA athlete – those came against Charles Oliveira, Michael Chiesa, and Nate Diaz; all submission specialists within their own right.
“I am a complete fighter, but I choose not to use those aspects of fighting because it’s not so pleasing to the eye, but also [for] my own integrity.”
Jim Miller sadly won’t get his viral introduction at UFC 300
For the past several months, there has been a petition within the MMA community for Miller to be introduced by Bruce Buffer at UFC 300 as “Jim F****** Miller” – a moniker that he proudly represents alongside his ‘A-10’ nickname.
After his third-round submission victory over Gabriel Benitez in January, Miller said “I earned that nickname by the way that I do business inside the octagon,” adding, “I’m glad the fans are behind it, but he’s has got to say it [at UFC 300], he’s got to say it [in the octagon].”
Unfortunately, that petition has been cut short with Jon Anik recently confirming to Kevin Iole that Bruce Buffer will be unable to use such language as the early prelims are to be broadcast on ESPN:
“I got breaking news on that front; I mean it stands to reason that at the morning weigh-in when I’m off camera and I’m saying 155lbs or 165lbs for Jim Miller – I could do it and not get in trouble. But Bruce Buffer and I got a text message from our producer yesterday and that said, ‘We’re going to be on ESPN for Jim Miller so no chance’, there you have it.”
Whilst Anik noted that it isn’t necessarily surprising to hear that the UFC brass is pushing back on such language being used on a nationwide broadcast, he did note that “there will be opportunities to introduce him as ‘Jim F****** Miller’ and we’ll see if I take advantage of those opportunities” during fight week.
Jim Miller faces Bobby Green on the early prelims of UFC 300 on April 13, so make sure you are tuned in nice and early to witness these two MMA legends throw down on the biggest PPV of the year.
