UFC Atlantic City had its fair share of controversy but amid all the debate, one man stood out with a superb comeback KO and a Performance of the Night bonus.
With eight big finishes, UFC Atlantic City is now tied for the most KO/TKOs in the promotion’s history – one of which was delivered by the ever-entertaining, Nate ‘The Train’ Landwehr.

Nate Landwehr finishes Jamall Emmers inside the first round
Jamall Emmers started the faster fighter and appeared to hold the power advantage, dropping Nate ‘The Train’ Landwehr early in the first round and opening up two cuts on the forehead of his opponent.
Yet Landwehr is at his most dangerous when blood begins to flow, rallying with the New Jersey crowd to deliver a brutal uppercut, to right hook, to ground and pound; earning his ninth career knockout and a standing ovation from the Boardwalk Hall attendees.
Whilst the back-and-forth war between Landwehr and Emmers wasn’t your Fight of the Night, the comeback KO did result in the fan-favorite brawler coming away from UFC Atlantic City with an additional $50,000 thanks to a Performance of the Night bonus.
Social media reacts to Landwehr’s comeback KO at UFC Atlantic City
Unsurprisingly, much of MMA social media was up in raucous celebration of Landwehr’s comeback KO, with fighters and fans alike hailing ‘The Train’ for his grit and determination to fight through a tough opening few minutes.
Former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill, who fights in a few weeks at UFC 300, stated “Nate the train always must see TV amazing fight!!!”
Cody Durden shared “What a comeback! Nate seemed very durable nice KO!!!” with Dustin Jacoby calling Landwehr “pure entertainment.”
Speaking via his official YouTube channel after the broadcast had concluded, Michael Bisping also noted that having someone like Landwehr in the UFC is an enormous boost for the promotion:
“Love this guy, love the energy – got a great knockout in round one…Nate the train is some guy, he’s a character, he’s awesome. I love him talking to him and I think he’s great for the sport – well done Nate ‘The Train’.”
Yet another post-fight bonus and viral interview
Undoubtedly one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC featherweight division, Landwehr is as devastating on the microphone as he is when the octagon doors lock behind him.
Speaking to Michael Bisping during the post-fight interview, Landwehr screamed the house down as he acknowledged yet another comeback KO: “Hey whoop my a** and see what happens!”
Landwehr noted that he might need some time away from the sport in order to let the two cuts on his head heal, yet he was open to the idea of facing Bryce Mitchell at the post-fight press conference:
“Whatever they want man if they want that fight, that’s a good fight. He’s got a great following, he’s got his own swagger, I got mine and I think that would be a good one.”
“Like I said man, timing-wise, this cut probably needs a little while before it gets hit on again and we’re going to see,” he said.
With that victory, Nate Landwehr moves to 18-5 with five wins coming inside the UFC octagon.
