Bellator welterweight champion Jason Jackson chose not to mince his words as he called out ‘dummy’ Cedric Doumbe for a super-fight in Paris.
It’s one thing fighting in enemy territory, it’s another to fight someone like Cedric Doumbe in his Parisian backyard – yet that’s exactly what Bellator world champion Jason Jackson recently demanded in a fiery callout of the French superstar.

Jackson took hold of the Bellator belt with a shock KO in November
Jason Jackson shocked the world back in November 2023 when he knocked out the then-undefeated champion Yaroslav Amosov to win the Bellator welterweight world title.
‘The Ass-Kicking Machine’ then earned another headline-grabbing TKO win over Ray Cooper III at the PFL vs Bellator super-event in Saudi Arabia thanks to some brutal leg kicks.
Both were statement wins and are in stark contrast to Doumbe’s last contest, which ended unceremoniously after the Frenchman suffered a splinter to his toe in the third round and the bout was waved off.
Bellator champion Jason Jackson calls for Cedric Doumbe in Paris
Speaking on the JAXXON Podcast, Jason Jackson didn’t mince his words as he took the opportunity to call out Cedric Doumbe for a fight in Paris, following the Frenchman’s controversial defeat just a few weeks ago:
“I want Cedric Doumbe, Cedric Dummy, Cedric Gummy – whatever they call him over there in Paris. That’s the man that I want because they really believe this man is some type of legend, but he’s done nothing in the sport of MMA, especially in PFL or Bellator.”
“You won one fight and these people thinking that this man going to put me in a grave, I said listen: If you dig a grave for me, you better dig one for yourself,” said the 18-4 Jamaican.
“Imma hurt this man, and I don’t think nobody believes me…I’m hoping and praying that this man wins his next fight because I want to fight him in Paris where everybody’s going to be booing and throwing trash.”
Facing Doumbe in Paris is as close as you can get to the definition of ‘enemy territory’, with Jackson doubling down on his callout: “I’m ready to go to the lion’s den, ready to go to Paris and I want to hear everyone booing ‘cause I’ll soak it in – I want to hear them booing.”
Doumbe will fight on the same card as Francis Ngannou
Whilst a Jackson vs Doumbe matchup in France would be an incredible fight to witness, the Frenchman could be set up to fight once more over the summer as the PFL eyes a return to Paris.
This is according to PFL owner Donn Davis, who confirmed via his recent appearance on The MMA Hour that Doumbe will feature on the same card as Francis Ngannou later this summer:
“That will be a PPV fight, that fight will also have Cris Cyborg vs Larissa Pacheco as the co-main fight, that fight [card] will also have Cedric Doumbe against someone who we will announce.”
“Cedric will fight again before that PPV, so you will see Cedric and Paris will see Cedric again, so prepare for announcements in the next two/three weeks,” said Davis.
Bellator Belfast takes place this weekend and will stream for the first time on Max in the US.
