New fight confirmed for UFC 300 as Top 15 lightweights join ‘stacked’ prelims in April

A new fight has been confirmed for the UFC 300 prelims in Las Vegas on April 13, lightweight Renato Moicano takes on Jalin Turner.

During the UFC 299 broadcast, it was officially announced that Jalin Turner will face Renato Moicano on the preliminary card of UFC 300 next month, raising the quality of an already ‘stacked’ anniversary PPV.

Moicano is riding a two-fight winning streak including a submission of Brad Riddell and a decision over Drew Dober, whilst Jalin Turner knocked out Bobby Green in his last contest back in December.

Renato Moicano vs Jalin Turner added to UFC 300 prelims

Whilst the main event for UFC 300 has been the subject of intense speculation and criticism, the vast majority of fans are in agreement that the prelims and early prelims feature fantastic matchups across the board.

Even Moicano himself came out to slate the anniversary card’s headlining act, sharing on The MMA Hour how: “For me, as a fan and as a YouTuber, UFC 300 is not that great. I will be honest with you, it’s not that great.”

Thankfully, ‘Money Moicano’ will get his own chance to raise the UFC 300 excitement levels, with a Top 15 fight against perennial contender Jalin Turner now on the horizon.

Ahead of the rankings update on Tuesday, Moicano is currently sitting as the #13 ranked best lightweight in the UFC whilst Turner is looking to defend his #9 spot against the outspoken Brazilian.

After his hilarious post-fight interview from defeating Alexander Hernandez at UFC 271, Moicano would bounce back from a decision loss to RDA with back-to-back wins over top-tier talent Brad Riddell and Drew Dober.

On the opposite side of the cage come April 13 will be Jalin Turner, who started 2023 off poorly with two consecutive split decision losses to Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker, only to finish veteran Bobby Green inside the very first round in his last outing.

With the addition of Moicano vs Turner, the UFC 300 prelims and early prelims are now set to include the following fights:
