Netflix has announced that 57-year-old former world heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson will come out of retirement to fight Jake Paul, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The entertainment powerhouse, Netflix, announced this Thursday that they will exclusively stream their first-ever combat sports event on July 20th, with the ‘boxing mega-event’ between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
The fight will take place in Arlington Texas at the AT&T Stadium home of NFL giants, Dallas Cowboys, with the stadium holding a capacity of 80,000 seats.
This won’t be the first time the two have shared an event, as Jake Paul’s second boxing fight, against Nate Robinson, came on the undercard of Tyson’s final fight, against Roy Jones Jr, in November 2020.

In the press release from Netflix Tyson vowed to ‘finish’ Jake Paul’s boxing career, despite playing a big role in the early proceedings of his career.
“I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience of a GOAT.
“It’s a full circle moment that will be thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones, now I plan to finish him.” Tyson added.
Jake Paul comments on surprising fight announcement
27-year-old, Paul, who fought and beat boxer, Ryan Bourland last weekend said that it’s his chance to prove himself once again, this time against ‘the most dangerous boxer of all time’.
Tyson became the youngest ever fighter to become a heavyweight champion when he won it at 20-years-old, beating Trevor Berbick in 1986, and still hold the record to this day.
“Whether you’re team Paul, team Tyson or a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you’re not going to want to miss this event. I have the chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep.” Paul commented.
The event will mark a partnership between Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions, a promotion co-founded by Paul, as they look to begin their mission into ‘providing more creative control to fighters’.
