UFC 292 has taken another hit to the lineup. It was just announced during the UFC Vegas 78 broadcast that former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt is off the card versus Mario Bautista. According to multiple reports, the reason is due to an injury in training. UFC matchmakers are currently seeking a replacement opponent for Bautista.

Cody Garbrandt in a nutshell
Garbrandt last fought in March at UFC 285. He was successful, notching a unanimous decision victory over Trevin Jones.In the six bouts before that, Cody lost five of them. Of those five contests, four were finishes—knockouts, to be exact. Before that unfortunate stretch, Garbrandt was undefeated.
Da’Mon Blackshear gets quick turnaround
According to Cole Shelton of bjpenn.com, Da’Mon Blackshear has been called up to replace Garbrandt ant fight Bautista. Blackshear fought last week at UFC Fight Night: Luque vs. Dos Anjos, winning impressively with a first round twister submission against Jose Johnson.

UFC 292 features two title fights: Aljamain Sterling vs. Sean O’Malley and Zhang Weili vs. Amanda Lemos. The event goes down in Boston at the TD Garden.
