ONE Fight Night 12 comes to us live from the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand tonight (via Amazon Prime Video). The event includes ONE Championship’s patented mix of MMA, Muay Thai and pro grappling.
The co-main event is BJJ ace Garry Tonon, who will be competing in MMA for the eighth time as a pro. The multiple time world no-gi champ, and ADCC bronze medallist, was a big money acquisition by ONE in 2018.
In MMA he has amassed a 7-1 record, his sole loss being a KO defeat to Thanh Le last year. Since them he rebounded with a submission victory over Johnny Nunez.
Tammi Musumeci, one of the US’s most decorated BJJ practitioners ever, will also be on the card. She will be grappling Amanda Alequin on the card. Her appearance at ONE Fight Night 12 will be Museumeci’s second appearance with ONE. She debuted in March with a win over Bianca Basilio. Musumeci’s brother Mikey Musumeci is ONE’s flyweight submission grappling champion.
Other bouts of note on the card include Amir Aliakbari vs. Dustin Joynson (MMA) and Lara Fernandez vs. Phetjeeja (Muay Thai). There’s also a meeting of two undefeated MMA prospects with Ecuador’s Aaron Canarte taking on Kyrgyzstan’s Akbar Abdullaev.
