Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg both claim they want to fight each other in a cage.
The two controversial tech billionaires have taken shots at each other recently – naturally, most of it coming from Elon Musk – especially with the news that the Meta founder is working on a rival app to Twitter.
Elon Musk asks for a “cage match” against Mark Zuckerberg
The initial offer about a “cage match” was brought up as Elon Musk reacted to the news of Meta coming up with their version of Twitter that is supposedly “sanely run.”
“I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options. At least it will be “sane”. Was worried there for a moment,” Musk wrote.
After a random twitter user pointed out how Mark Zuckerberg now does jiujitsu, Musk called him out for a fight.
Mark Zuckerberg claims he’s serious about fighting Elon Musk
It didn’t take long for Zuckerberg to respond, naturally posting on his own social media platform to accept the call out. The billionaire MMA fan, who once had his own private closed door UFC event, channeled Khabib Nurmagomedov when he posted on his Instagram stories.
“Send Me Location,” Zuckerberg wrote in response.

Musk responded after seeing a screenshot of Zuckerberg’s post, tweeting “If this is for real, I will do it.”
The Verge followed up on the story, and it’s where Zuckerberg also claimed he’s serious about fighting Musk:
I’ve confirmed that Zuckerberg’s post on his Instagram account is, in fact, not a joke, which means the ball is now in Musk’s court. “The story speaks for itself,” Meta spokesperson Iska Saric told me.
Musk then responded, suggesting Las Vegas as the location for the supposed fight.
Combat Sports world react
Who wins, Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg?
Who would actually win in a fight? Well, Zuckerberg is a white belt in jiujitsu, and looks to be even worse in striking. For some reason, he even had his PR team claim that he totally did not get put to sleep in his jiujitsu match. He almost assuredly did, but they still weirdly had to control the narrative as if that’s not a totally normal and okay thing to happen in the sport.
Enough footage is out there to see his basic skill level, and Zuckerberg is clearly still a novice. That’s not a shot at him, nor is that even bad. The 39-year-old still regularly trains and now has competition experience too, and anyone who has ever trained would know how those kinds of white belts would do against clueless newbies who don’t train at all.
And that’s really what Elon Musk is. He’s 51, badly out of shape, and still calls MMA a “cage match.” He’s exactly the type that would make white belts feel like black belt world beaters.
That being said, as much as I would enjoy to see either man get punched in the face – for several of their well documented unethical issues and problems they’ve caused to so many people – this “fight” between two of the richest men in the world obviously won’t happen. It’s all just a silly way for them to be petty and get attention online, which I guess worked since everyone is talking about it, and I also just typed this all now.
