Singapore will be playing host to a UFC Fight Night card on August 26th, and the event will be headlined by the promotion’s former featherweight champion, Max Holloway, throwing down with longtime MMA veteran, ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung. Opening betting odds have just surfaced for this likely swan song for Jung, as well as the moneylines for some other upcoming main events.
Online gambling site SportsBetting.ag has Max Holloway opening up with a staggering favored position of -1000. That means a successful $100 bet at those odds would only win you $10 worth of profit. As for Zombie, he is starting out his betting life here with a huge underdog tag of +700. So, if you throw a hundred bucks on Jung, then you stand to see a complete payout of $800, if he pulls off the major upset. I mean I get it, Max is a G.O.A.T. but this is still a fight, right?
Other betting odds recently released include the main event for an August 5th fight night in Nashville between Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov. Despite being the UFC’s #4 ranked bantamweight, Sandhagen is clocking in with a sizable underdog value of +280. As for the UFC’s #11 ranked 135-pounder, Nurmagomedov is opening up with a moderately favored line of -340. Umar has been great, but he’s still untested at the elite level, where as Sandhagen has already proven that he’s top-5 material.
The final moneyline released is for the UFC Paris main event on September 2nd between ranked heavyweights Ciryl Gane and Sergey Spivak. The former interim heavyweight champion is posted up with strongly favored odds of -200 for his return to home soil. Every game for Spivak is pretty much an away game, so facing someone in their backyard won’t be anything new for him. The Ukrainian born Sergey is starting out with underdog odds of +170..
