Superbon crushes at ONE Fight Night 11
This weekend we had lots of great finishes outside of what the UFC was serving in the Octagon. Top of my list of brutal, cool and awesome finishes is what Superbon did in his return to action at ONE Fight Night 11.
The Thai kickboxing star was returning to action five months after a KO loss to Chingiz Allazov cost him his ONE Featherweight Kickboxing title and snapped a storied 12-fight winning streak.
Tayfun Ozcan got the call up to face the former champ… and it did not go well.
Watch as the Turkish fighter gets Superbon on the backfoot. However, that backfoot then gets used to as an anchor, so Superbon can throw up a lead head kick in the blink of an eye. Though it looks like his toes barely tickled Ozcan’s cheek, the impact switched the lights off and left Ozcan flat on his back, starring into the cosmos.
A thing of beauty. And terror. See for yourself.
The Lumpinee crowd is something else
The night prior to ONE Fight Night 11, ONE held ONE Lumpinee 20. And boy did the crowd get treated to some primo violence on that night as well. Check the evidence below.
Beer guts and head kicks make quite the combo
Back on stateside this weekend saw the latest instalment of Anthony Pettis Fighting Championships, live from Milwaukee (where else?). Some decent finishes there.
He got air on that
At Eternal MMA 76 Quillan Salkilld, who was rocking a top tier ‘stache, sent Blake Donnelly flying with an uppercut.
Sacrificial Liver for the MMA Gods
Throwing TF down!
Finally we head to Japan, where Tsukasa Mizoguchi and Kosuke Eda go rock’em sock’em robots to finish their fight at Gladiator 022.
See you next week sickos.
