The Denver Nuggets beat the Miami Heat at the 2023 NBA Finals, and somehow Conor McGregor is to be blamed.
It wasn’t the Heat shooting just 34% for the game, not going 2 for 1, or calling time out during crunch time. It wasn’t Nikola Jokic’s herculean MVP performance either. Jorge Masvidal says the Heat lost their NBA Finals bid because Conor McGregor ruined the team’s chakra.
Masvidal curses out Conor McGregor for Miami Heat’s NBA Finals loss
There’s a lot of illogical superstition in sports, and according to Masvidal, Conor McGregor’s botched NBA Finals stunt that sent the Heat’s mascot to the ER affected the team. The Florida-native tweeted about McGregor soon after the Heat’s crushing 4-1 defeat to the Denver Nuggets.
“Conor u f–ing p–sy u came here and threw the chakras of the mascot and the team,” Masvidal wrote. “So for that u banned b–ch”
Dana White blames mascot for botched NBA Finals stunt
Dana White unsurprisingly blamed everyone but McGregor for that half-time stunt that went too far.
“What’s up with mascots wanting to get punched in the face by professional fighters?” White reacted. “What do you expect? I mean, what are those mascot things made out of? Unless you’re like, the Golden Knights mascot – I don’t even know what he wears, but I’m assuming it’s a metal helmet – I wouldn’t have professional fighters punching me in the face if I was a mascot. Doesn’t seem like the brightest thing in the world.”
