Tommy Fury was ringside for MF & DAZN: X Series 007 on Saturday to watch the fights, including KSI vs. Joe Fournier. However, watching turned into fighting as a fellow former Love Island contestant confronted Fury.

As Anthony Taylor and Salt Papi awaited the judges’ scorecards after their three-round fight, Idris Virgo was caught on camera confronting Fury, which led to the Love Islanders colliding for a short, yet chaotic period. The pair were separated, and Fury returned ringside with his father, John, to watch the rest of the fights.

Though there was no reason given for the fight, Fury told talkSPORT it boiled down to ‘another bum looking for a payday’ against him. Virgo, who is also a professional boxer, is a longtime London Shootfighters teammate of KSI, who Fury has set his sights on for his next fight.

Virgo has not fought since his unanimous decision win against Anthony Taylor at MF & DAZN: X Series 004 this past January.

Tommy Fury faces off with KSI, sets up potential fight

After his controversial second-round KO of Joe Fournier, YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI faced off with Fury, potentially setting up yet another influencer fight. The pair exchanged some words, with the younger Fury brother telling KSI to sign him up for ‘easy money’.

As Fury and KSI continued to jaw at each other, another altercation nearly happened, but they were separated.

Earlier in the night, John Fury confirmed that his team was in contact with KSI about the fight.

“All I need him to do — we’re talking to his people, they’re talking to me,” said Fury (H/T Scott Christ of Bad Left Hook). “We’re close, let’s get it done. Let’s agree terms and let my man sign you up, and on we go with it!”

Fury is coming off the biggest win of his career thus far, a split decision over Jake Paul this past February.
