BKFC 41 featured a few well-known former UFC fighters on April 29. While heavyweight fan-favorite Ben Rothwell scored a TKO victory, former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez squared off against Chad Mendes in the co-main event and former middleweight title-holder is still expected to face Mike Perry in the headliner.

Pros react to Eddie Alvarez’s win at BKCF 41

In the co-main event, Eddie Alvarez defeated Chad Mendes via split decision at BKFC 41. Though both men were able to knock down their opponents twice in the five rounds of the fight, it was the former UFC and Bellator champion who had his hand raised at the of the fight. On Twitter, pro fighters reacted to the co-main event.

BKFC 41 marked Eddie Alvarez’s first boxing bout

Prior to BKFC 41, former UFC and Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez (30-8-2 NC) had no experience in the sport. Most recently, the 39-year-old dropped a unanimous decision to Ok Rae Yoon in his last outing, at ONE on TNT 4, in April 2021. His latest win took place in August 2019, when Eddie Alvarez defeated Eduard Folayang via submission.
