Sergei Pavlovich was one of four post-fight bonus winners following UFC Vegas 71 this past Saturday.

Sergei Pavlovich, Bruno Silva get big wins

Performance of the Night: Sergei Pavlovich extended his win streak to six straight with a first-round TKO of Curtis Blaydes in our headliner. The Russian fighter moved forward and pressured Blaydes, who was firing off a few punches of his own — but not at the same power and speed as Pavlovich. As the fight went on, ‘Razor’ tried to use his wrestling and was denied. Then Pavlovich found a home for an uppercut that sent Blaydes to the canvas, where a few more follow-up punches led to the end of the fight. That was his sixth straight win via (T)KO — a new record for longest knockout streak in modern UFC history.

Performance of the Night: Bruno Silva returned to the win column with a stunning stoppage of Brad Tavares in our co-headliner. These two were throwing heat, as Silva connected with a left hand and Tavares responded with a jab or two. During one of their exchanges, ‘Blindado’ uncorked a knee to Tavares’ chin. Silva added a right hand, and Tavares went down! The UFC veteran protested the stoppage, but that was a beautiful bounce back win for Silva.

Performance of the Night: Christos Giagos laid waste to Ricky Glenn for a first-round KO. The ‘Spartan’ turned the lights out on the ‘Gladiator’ with a picture-perfect left hand. Glenn fell face-first to the canvas, and the referee stepped in and stopped the fight after 95 seconds.

Performance of the Night: Montel Jackson added a UFC veteran to his résumé with a quick TKO of Rani Yahya. As expected in this grappler vs. striker fighter, Yahya went straight for the takedown, tied Jackson up on the ground and started working on armlock. A cool, composed Jackson got his arm out of danger and returned to his feet, where he made Yahya pay for lunging in for another takedown. This time, ‘Quik’ countered with a left hand that dropped Yahya and followed up with some ground-and-pound for the first-round TKO.

Fight of the Night: No FOTN
