UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Allen (aka UFC Kansas City) kicked off with a women’s bantamweight bout between Joselyne Edwards (13-4) and Lucie Pudilova (14-8), and it proved to be a sour first bite. Social media lit up with the typical spectrum of emotions — a mixture of scathing sarcasm, shrugs, outrage and sheer bewilderment — when Edwards won the split decision.

MMADecisions.com tracks and publishes the official UFC judging scores alongside those from popular MMA media outlets. The fight was officially scored 29-28 Pudilova and two 29-28 scores for Edwards; a jagged contrast with the MMA media scores.
All 14 media sources penned Pudilova, but two of the three official judges voted Edwards in another case of puzzling judging in MMA.
