The UFC Kansas City preliminary card got a wicked finish when the promotion’s #4 ranked flyweight, Brandon Royval, slayed the #5 ranked featherweight, Matheus Nicolau, with a devastating knee in the opening round.

It was the knee that sent Nicolau silly to score the knockdown, and then a brutal barrage of elbows and punches finished the deal. This makes three wins in a row for Brandon, and back-to-back first round finishes. Royval is simply must-see T.V.

Check our description of Brandon Royval destroying Matheus Nicolau:

Rd.1- It was Royval who took the center of the Octagon, while Nicolau skirted along the outside on his bike. Then, a phenomenal knee from Royval landed right on the button! A dizzy Nicolau dropped to the ground, and Royval went after him with some brutal ground and pound. Nicolau was not responding intelligently so the referee stepped in to prevent any further damage. WOW! Brandon Royval def. Matheus Nicolau at 2:09 of round 1: Flyweight
