April 14, 2023, Kansas City, MO, Missouri, USA: KANSAS Kansas City, MO, MISSOURI - APRIL 14: L-R Max Holloway and Arnold Allen step on the scales and face off at the ceremonial weigh ins ahead of their fight at UFC Fight Night Kansas City - Holloway vs Allen at T-Mobile Center on April 15th, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. It’s fight day for UFC Kansas City, which is kicking off from the T-Mobile Center in The Show-Me State, also known as Missouri. The featured bout of the evening will see the former king of the featherweight division, Max Holloway, lock horns with the UFC’s #4 ranked 145-pounder, Arnold Allen. Let’s go see what the betting lines have to say about this one.

The bookies aren’t quite sold on a changing of the guard situation, and have Holloway listed as a small betting favorite over Allen. Max’s moneyline can be found around the -165 mark, while Allen is posted up with a small underdog value of +140.

The oddsmakers apparently have no idea whether or not Max vs. Arnold will be ending early, or making it to the final bell. Both prop bets ‘Fight goes to decision’ and ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ own betting lines of -110. Both men have proven to be damn hard to kill, so it’s kind of difficult for me to see a finish materializing.

According to the betting odds, the most likely outcome for tonight’s main event is the former champion winning on the scorecards. The proposition ‘Holloway wins by decision’ is holding on to a plus line of +150. Going back the other way, there’s ‘Allen wins by decision’ being offered up at a more lucrative line of +350.

The second most likely result in tonight’s UFC event, in terms of the moneylines, is Max coming up with a finish. There’s ‘Holloway wins inside distance’ trending at +200, and then you’ve got ‘Allen wins inside distance’ situated at +400. Holloway was submitted by Dustin Poirier way back in 2012, but that was the only time that Holloway has been finished. Arnold only has one blemish on his otherwise spotless record, and that was a random decision loss to Marcin Wrzosek at a 2014 Cage Warriors event.
