At UFC 268 last night Frankie Edgar fell to Marlon Vera after being KO’d by a front kick in the third round. It was the fourth loss in five contests for ‘The Answer’, who at 40-years-old might be ready to call it a day.

Cage side cameras caught the moment Vera’s foot collided with Edgar’s chin. And it wasn’t pretty. Check out below to see how that kind of impact can make a person look like an extra from a Wallace and Gromit movie.

Edgar’s recent run includes a flying knee KO loss to Cory Sandhagen and a TKO suffered against Chan Sung Jung. His most recent win was a split decision over Pedro Munhoz in 2020. Edgar, a former UFC lightweight champion, suffered his first ever stoppage loss to Brian Ortega in 2018. Before that he had gone 28 fights with all five of his losses coming by decision.

The win for Vera earned the Ecuadorian a Performance of the Night bonus. He’s won two straight now, after a unanimous decision win over Davey Grant in June.
