It didn’t take long for Khamzat Chimaev to get word of Colby Covington’s derogatory comments directed at him during Wednesday’s UFC 268 media day scrum, as ‘Borz’ was quick to retaliate on social media.
Chimaev, who Covington referred to as ‘C-mshot Chimaev’, might have had a long and difficult battle with COVID-19 but you’ll never find him in the octagon looking as bloodied and battered as ‘Chaos’ did in his welterweight title bout against Kamaru Usman at UFC 245.

Covington lost to Usman via fifth-round TKO in a fight in which he, according to UFC medical reports, suffered a broken jaw.
The former interim welterweight champ will get another crack at UFC gold when he takes on Usman in a rematch at UFC 268 at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday.
As for Chimaev, the Chechnyan-born Swedish fighter has received almost universal praise from his peers following his first-round thrashing of Li Jingliang at UFC 267. He is considered one of the hottest welterweight and middleweight prospects in the UFC right now.
