Fights on Tap is a weekly roundup of all the fights booked in the UFC, Bellator and other promotions.
All eyes were on the great fights that happened at UFC 267 this past Saturday, so there were not many new ones to report. Eight of them were either announced or finalized this week, and a battle between undefeated featherweight prospects has been added to the first pay-per-view event of 2022.
Ilia Topuria and Movsar Evloev have agreed to meet at UFC 270 on Jan. 22 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Topuria made his promotional debut over a year ago and has looked sensational in all three of his Octagon appearances. He bested Youssef Zalal by unanimous decision and earned first-round finishes over Damon Jackson and Ryan Hall at UFC Vegas 16 and UFC 264. Evloev has also looked impressive in recent outings, defeating the likes of Mike Grundy, Nik Lentz and Hakeem Dawodu to keep his perfect professional record intact.
Bellator has filled up its upcoming schedule with a number of fights that include the return of breakout star Valerie Loureda and a clash of featherweight contenders in Emmanuel Sanchez and Jeremy Kennedy.
