Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder first faced off in a very entertaining heavyweight championship bout that ended up in a draw back in 2018. The pair fought again in a lucrative rematch in February 2020, with Fury this time just completely outboxing and dominating his rival.
Fury dropped Wilder in the third round with a right hand, then again in the fifth round. After taking more punishment, Wilder’s corner stopped the fight in the 7th round. At the time of the stoppage, Fury was ahead on the scorecards 59–52, 58–53, and 59–52.
While the clear victory seemingly put an end to the rivalry, Wilder managed to take the legal route in arbitration and the rematch clause in the contract was enforced by a judge. So now the pair will fight again for the third time.
