After their controversial no contest last weekend, Kevin Holland and Kyle Daukaus will run it back next month.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported on Tuesday that the two middleweights will have their rematch on November 13th at UFC Vegas 42.

Daukaus originally had a rear-naked choke win vs. Holland in their UFC Vegas 38 co-main event, but an accidental clash of heads which just about knocked Holland out was deemed to have started that entire sequence leading up to the finish. Referee Dan Miragliotta said post-fight he intended to stop the fight after the headbutt, but Holland’s quick recovery led to him letting the action continue.

Holland (21-7, 1 NC), who believes Daukaus should’ve gotten the win, is without a win of his own over his last three fights. Decision losses to Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori stopped his rise up the middleweight ranks after previously winning five in a row.

Daukaus (10-2, 1 NC) entered the UFC as an unbeaten prospect, but saw his perfect record go away after a debut loss to Brendan Allen. He got back on track with a decision win over Dustin Stoltzfus, only to suffer a decision defeat versus Phil Hawes.

UFC Vegas 42 is headlined by a men’s featherweight bout between former champion Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez.
