Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo thinks that Nick Diaz deserves a rematch with Robbie Lawler because, well, Diaz is a legend.

Oh, and he’s also tied 1-1 with ‘Ruthless’ and both men put on a fantastic show for the fans in their middleweight bout at UFC 266 last month.

Diaz lost the fight via third-round TKO but Cejudo, who is clearly a huge fan of the Diaz brothers, believes the former Strikeforce welterweight champion would beat Lawler in another rematch.

“I think he should get another crack at Robbie Lawler. I hate throwing the word legend around, but Nick Diaz is a legend. Nick, if you’re watching this, for all the fans I say you make a trilogy,” Cejudo said on a recent episode of the ‘Triple C and Schmo’ podcast.

“They’re 1-1. The third match seals the deal. I truly believe in my heart with a little more time, Nick Diaz will beat him.”

Diaz said in the UFC 266 aftermath that he knew he had it coming against Lawler and didn’t appear interested in a trilogy. The Stockton local isn’t currently ranked at welterweight or middleweight but is still considered one of the biggest draws in the sport.
