Recently video began circulating purportedly showing Bellator fighter Dillon Danis being arrested by police outside of a bar in Seaside Heights, N.J. A mugshot of Danis then started making the rounds.

According to MMA Fighting the video, and mugshot, are related to a charge of disorderly conduct filed against Danis.

That outlet reported that Danis was removed from the Beachcomber Bar and Grill in handcuffs after he allegedly “created a disturbance” inside the premises.

Soon after the video and mugshot were released, Danis took to social media to mimic his friend and training partner Conor McGreogr, writing “you need people like me”. McGregor had used that line from the movie Scarface after his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier in June.

Danis, a highly credentialed grappler, made his MMA debut in 2018. That debut, at Bellator 198, saw him submit Kyle Walker with a toe hold in the first round. Over a year later Danis beat Max Humphrey, at Bellator 222, with a first round armbar.

He’s not fought since. Danis was scheduled to face Kegan Gennrich at Bellator 258 last year, but was forced to withdraw due to injury.
