Bea Malecki shared an update letting fans and pundits know that she is doing alright after suffering the first loss of her professional career at UFC Vegas 34 on Saturday night.

The bantamweight prospect welcomed promotional newcomer Josiane Nunes to the Octagon during the preliminary portion of the event and was completely overwhelmed by the forward pressure and combinations from the Brazilian. Malecki tried to circle away from her opponent, but it would not be enough to keep Nunes from coming in and unloading some heavy shots.

With about six seconds left in the first round, Nunes delivered the fight-ending left hook that sent Malecki to the canvas. Malecki covered up and Nunes walked away with her hands raised in victory just as the referee came in to stop the fight.

Malecki was taken to a local hospital in Las Vegas, where she uploaded a video message to social media and briefly spoke about how she was doing in the immediate aftermath of the knockout.

“So, I didn’t think it would happen like this,” said Malecki on Instagram. “My first KO [loss] and hopefully the last. I’m feeling good. Just my elbow hurts and my head hurts, so they want to check it so I’m here at the hospital. Thank all of you guys for all the love. Love you guys.”

Malecki also thanked her opponent in Nunes, who not only earned her first UFC win but also extended her knockout streak to six straight.

Malecki — an alum of The Ultimate Fighter 28 — was victorious in her last two outings under the UFC banner. The Swede submitted Duda Santana with a rear-naked choke at UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Smith and followed that up with a unanimous decision win over Veronica Macedo at UFC Fight Night: Lee vs. Oliveira.
